That's not true though. Look at the barbaric sport of Bullfighting from Spain, or the zoosadism of cat-burning that was popular in West and Central Europe all the way up to the 1800s. Hell animal cruelty remains rampant in throughout civilized culture there's people who willingly abuse their pets throughout the developed world. Ultimately I agree with you though that he needs to reconsider trying to get contact with Bella since the actions she's committed are felonious to say the least. I understand why you decided to cut your friendship with Dax after it became apparent that he has some disturbing close friendship with pervert Digibro, but it's not like he's trying to make Bella his future consort. I would argue that this comes from European aristocracy culture and people interacting with that. People become more sympathetic to animals the more middle class they get in the west, meanwhile people from poorer backgrounds and people from developing countries have a more utilitarian view of animals.
