Happy Eviction Day! - Free ride no longer free

I understand there's obviously shitty landlords out there but honestly 90% of reeeee landlords rhetoric I see boils down to "how dare people not let me live in their property for free!?!?!?"
They are so used to living with their parents they probably never made the connection that someone has to pay for the property and its upkeep.

I want to sympathize with landlords but people who own property and talk about how they are making so much money are annoying so I can't really. And all my apartments have been decent at best but not great. Yeah I know it's stupid but landlords are pretty low on the list of things I am concerned about.

If you want to see how wonderful free housing is, check out the nearest neighborhood with Section 8 housing. After you pull all the bullets out of your car, tell me you would want to live there.
We have a large Section 8 complex called Westlawn. It used to be the typical 4-family brick structures, really simple. Of course, that entire northwest side of town has turned into a cesspool (it used to be the crown jewel of retail with a large circle of businesses and clubs around a large mall with a lake and apartments). Niggers destroyed it singlehandedly.

Now, they refurbished the projects to be nicer to the niggers (at what cost, I have no idea) and yeah, they look really nice now.

Now.

Revisit it in another 10 years. It'll be back to the same trashed state it started in; which is why they're built like old Soviet bloc buildings. People like to conflate the grim surroundings as some sort of reason these people can't behave when it's the complete opposite in reality. The White guilt complex is so strong that everything these trash people do is somehow because they don't have enough _________. Just like food deserts, they simply refuse to put two and two together

I don't feel much pity for these people. Huge companies like Walmart have been hiring constantly during the pandemic. My local store is woefully understaffed because people just don't want to work. Why should they when our state was handing out so much extra unemployment money and food stamps?

Gee, maybe you idiots should have been using that extra money to pay your rent instead of buying bikes and big screen TVs.

All this coddling is just going to enable bad behavior.

I understand we need a safety net, but the low employment rates prove going this far isn't working.

Pretty much every business in the city where I work has "NOW HIRING" on their sign somewhere. The McDonald's even advertises you'll get a free meal every day to get people to work.

We just need separate, much nicer districts exclusively for the use of lazy coders/forum users.

It will never cease to amuse me that these same fucking retards constantly complaining about the 1% are supporting these continuous covid policies that are designed by them to strangle the life out of the middle class land and business owner to guarantee all property ends up in the hands of the elite.

just kidding, I’m not amused, I’m fucking terrified. NPC wasn’t a meme, the majority of people on earth have been so brainwashed by the media that they are actually incapable of critical thought, and the average american will be forever priced out of owning land in his own country by 2050. We can only hope the pendulum swings before it’s too late.

Really what’s happened is a bunch of people were able to jump out and away from retail or actually start looking for jobs in other fields. Job hunting isn’t easy to fit into retail work. The employers complaining the most about not being able to find workers are retail outlets. Most of those jobs are going to teenagers at the moment.

Otherwise, there’s a decent chunk of people who simply can’t afford to keep their current housing arrangements because where they work let them go and they can’t find work that pays the same. This sort of thing really sucks.

Are there people who are exploiting this? Sure. But there’s also a fuckton of landlords who don’t do shit to fix their properties up or maintain them and just pocket the monthly checks.

Well Subway is a terrible franchise with sad food, so I feel like that's a bad example.

If you take a restaurant like an in and out burger, which is basically a religion with a cult attached to it, and you opened one in an area that's far away from the nearest location, you could easily make millions of dollars in a few years. Especially when you consider the market it now beefed up by delivery apps and people's pandemic habits.

Yeah, owning the lot would be good, too.
Ironically part of why In-n-out has such a following/reputation is precisely because you cannot franchise one. They've been family owned since their foundation and have on multiple occasions said they have no intention of going public or allowing franchises because franchises breed poor restaurant standards.

I had no idea about this. Thanks for the information!

Chick-Fil-A has a different approach where you basically have to be wealthy to begin with to own one but not only that, you have to be there at least 50% of the time to manage it. Franchising a Chick-Fil-A is a full time job. Only the most motivated franchisers will get into that game. It's smart though, I have never really been to a shitty Chick-Fil-A. And it's a bonus that hate godless sodomites. Filthy faggot tears season my Spicy Deluxe. I eat Chick-Fil-A while watching videos of Islamic Republics throwing fairies off the roof head first.

Yeah, but funny enough a good portion of the fags I know love Chick-fil-A and whine they're not open on Sunday. Maybe I'm just around weirdly based gays...

I mean fags know that God hates them for their sodomy and sinful ways and they won't get into Heaven.

Over the course of the pandemic I jumped industries from service to logistics/manufacturing to aerospace. It was the perfect circumstance to justify job hopping until I got an in into a much more stable industry. No one bats an eye during a job interview when "covid" is the answer to why you left a previous job.

Also fuck any and all aspects of the service industry. From front of house to prep area to stockroom, all of it is trash. You break your ass all day only to get paid dogshit and treated like a short-bus riding retard. I can guarantee you that any service industry worker with a shred of talent and self respect got better jobs in other industries. It's the domain of talentless hacks, shiftless layabouts, new workers (teenagers), and people that peaked in high school.

A particular Russian bitch who fleeced an old widow out of her business comes to mind. She tried to get my mom to pay for structural damage she refused to repair for years. The house was 100 years old.

Being homeless is horrifying. Some of the comments in this thread are pretty horrible. Like I know this is Kiwi Farms and I haven't exactly been Miss Sunshine on here either. But not everyone stops paying rent because they want to buy TVs and PS5 instead with their stimulus. The average rent is astronomical in many areas. I can't even afford to live on my own in my own city. I already lost my home due to the incompetence of others. Life is harder than some people think it is.
