Ethan just made the following statement about the court hearing (emphasis mine):
"I'm gonna say something at the top of the show and then I'm probably not gonna talk about this again for a long long time if ever. So, there's been a lot written and a lot said about my child even before he was born and it's unfortunate that he's been brought into all this online stuff but, uhh, I mean that's just how it goes I guess. So this'll probably be the only time I address this, but no I have not forgotten about my child or anything like that regardless of what anybody said and I will be going to the usual avenues and the court system to, uhh, to exercise parental rights and all that. So there's been a lot of lies said, a lot of bullshit spread over the past year about that score, uhh, and so I'm just gonna say that right here at the top of the show, I don't want anyone on the panel to weigh in,
I'm not talking about anything else having to do with anything surrounding that-this issue, uhh, but I just want to put that out for the record, and Alexander, son, I love you and thank you very much whenever you see this (laughter) 15 years down the line, whatever day it is, uhh, so that's my statement about that and feel free to clip it if you would like."
Notably, he didn't say a single word or even allude to the existence of either Matthew or Faith Vickers, and indeed seemed to go out of his way to avoid doing so.
