I am seeing tweets indicating the Taliban is already overlooking the city and is entering parts. If the taliban decide to start shooting at our troops trying to come in or out we could get some very dramatic happenings.

We have no support in the area. there will be no A-10's or apache's to provide air support, theres no fuel. Taliban has plundered a dramatic amount of weaponry and may want to settle scores


Reminds me of that Soviet Unit that never got told to pull out of Afghanistan. They sat at their fire base days wondering why no one was answering the Radio and still conducting operations. Eventually they came and got them a week later after some party commissar realized the mistake

They haven't yet because they just want Foreigners out. They have learned much from the previous two decades, and the non-hackers have been removed from class by Drone-sensei.

There is currently no airstrikes hitting them. The airport is not a military target. There is no reason to shell the runway except to needlessly kill the citizens of other countries - they already fucked around and found out in that regard. I'm pretty sure the individual commanders are being kept on a very short leash regarding anyone non-Afghani.
