Assuming masks work, we'd be done with this shit already. Assuming vaccines work there's no need for masks. The fact that now I am asked to wear a mask regardless of vaccine status tells me that neither works and most of this is just ass covering political theater.

Edit: We should follow the Swedish model. I cannot believe I am saying this, but if we were as based as the Swedes we'd all be a lot better off. I can't believe there's all this hysteria over a disease that's analogous to chicken pox or the regular flu.

1) Some of this is because the politicians and CDC love the authoritarian control they can wield through "emergency powers" the longer this goes.

2) Some of this is because they genuinely believed that if everyone masked up and got their shots that this would be over and now that it's not working they literally have no other alternatives. They don't know what else to do except do it harder. It didn't work the first time; obviously because not everyone complied. If everyone would just comply, this MIGHT end.

I'm tempted to go if the protest continues next weekend. Looks like fun...

Actually, it looked violent and staged and I want to get a closer look at both the antifa guys and were those... proud boys? My SJW friends are texting me in a panic again that Trump's pet thugs are gonna come kill us all.

What will happen when everyone gets vacced and masked?

Govt is already like "Uhhh guys... Vaccines don't actually work. We need to lock you back up till something better comes along. Sorry!"

I feel like they really over sold the vaccines and also didn’t test them in enough people
In the winter I wanted to get one. I really thought I would. Then once they started giving it to more people it was a new thing every day. Heart stuff, clots etc . And I got really worried about taking it

I don’t want to be name called and spat upon as an anti vaxxer just because I’m cautious about taking this one vaccine.

there’s so much anger and vitriol out there now

Concerning their usage of the term "anti-vaxxer", I find it really telling how people who have skepticism about this ONE SPECIFIC vaccine are being conflated with actually dangerous people via that term "anti-vaxxer" being thrown around like candy.

There was a comment that got erased in the rollback where the one who posted it asked how everyone was doing. I was going to quote it for my response but I still have a vague recollection of what was in it.

Like the user wrote, I too have been using a journal as a therapeutic between my monthly sessions. It has been something I can rely on now that I'm working remotely again. The office was a place I could interactive with my colleagues, who also knew a lot of these health guidelines are bullshit. It was a relief I did not have to walk on eggshells since my family and friends have all bought into the narrative. Now stuck at home and the Farms under constant DDoS attacks, writing out my frustrations may be the only way to keep my sanity. Meanwhile I decided to postpone monitoring my calorie intake since I am not as mobile at my home as I was at my office space. However I still find time for walking breaks and regular trips to the gym after work.

Still some segment of the population holding onto the "vaccine-induced herd immunity" pipe dream, but I think a lot of the vitriol stems from an increasing sense buyer's remorse and the inability to accept that other people may end up being vindicated for making a different choice and not falling in line.

I'm also horrified by these people who spent the last several decades bitching about Big Pharma for entirely legitimate reasons suddenly becoming bipedal Moderna billboards. What, these companies that regularly have to pay huge fines for malfeasance are your besties now? I thought you guys had your hate-on for megacorps that push doctors to overprescribe their latest concoctions whether you need them or not. Now I'm being told it's my "civic duty" to CONSOOM PRODUCT? Well if shilling for these awful companies is the new hotness...

The vaccine doesn't protect against the variants, which is 100% the "anti-vaxxers" fault! But somehow the antibodies it creates are way better than you'd get from the actual disease, so coofers have to get it too. It's a good thing an extra booster shot of the same damn thing will totally work, pinky swear, according to a study at the University of Dude Trust Me. I am so sick of how condescending the NPCs are, saying anyone questioning the party line is just too retarded to understand "science" when they're swallowing what amounts to literal insane troll logic if some asshole in a suit on the teevee says it in a very serious sounding voice. I get dumbing things down for the general public but there's no reason to hide any explanation for the scientifically literate if it really exists and isn't just posturing and sunk cost fallacy at best or retardation and corruption at worst.

I can't be arsed to find the articles if they haven't been "amended" but when comparing vaxxed vs unvaxxed case numbers the papers and news were saying vax was 95+% effective a couple months ago, then 90% a few weeks ago, and most recent I've seen we're down to 72% and I've heard 65% being thrown around as well. Fuck knows if these numbers are accurate because I'm pretty sure unvaxxed people are required to get tested a lot more often since Ontario's new guidelines explicitly fucking say that. And some reported numbers start counting in December 2020 which was when the first shots went into arms, but the gov't didn't start rolling them out for the general public until April and second doses a month after, virtually ensuring close to 100% of cases would be "unvaccinated" for 4-5 months at least.

I wish people realized it is easy to manipulate statistics to try and say literally whatever you want. The vax is a scam and I find the propaganda very tiresome.

As someone who has experience with the gun control debate, the ease with which statistics can be manipulated to say what you want makes me immensely suspicious of people who want to take freedoms based on them.
