Taliban offensive of 2021 and collapse of Afghan government.

So the US has flown out 700-ish people in the last 24 hours, including just 165 US citizens.

Meanwhile, they've brought 1000 troops in.

Funny kind of evacuation, where you end up with more people in the country at the end of the day.

The new government of Afghanistan has given a two-week timespan for governments to retrieve their citizens. While the US claims they'll be evacing 5-9k US citizens and foreign nationals per day, this is an incredibly ambitious goal when you're sending up C-17s with about 100 people on each one. A typical high-volume airport runway sees 200-ish takeoffs per day, but somewhere like Kabul doesn't see anything close to that level of action. With 40-80,000 people needing to be removed in 14 days, they've so far removed 1,400 (and added back 1,000+) in two days. If they're not getting 3k+ people out per day by tomorrow, this is going to turn into a true human rights nightmare, and the whole thing will be livestreamed.
Can Kabul airport handle A380's? Why not charter some?

Japan has no actual nuclear weapons; you are confused about their status as a nuclear power. Hypothetically they could make a bomb in months, but they never will because they’re culturally autistic.
DAMN YOU I WILL SEND NUKES TO JAPAN YOU WILL BOW TO HANUMAN JAI KRISHNA

also south slav ("yugoslav") pan nationalism never had much popular support. the first iteration of yugoslavia was basically just Greater Serbian Empire ruled by serbian monarchs, with all the other peoples subjugated to serbian hegemony. that's why it got run over by the axis as fast as it did when war broke out: the croat parts of the army straight up refused to fight for their serb overlords, they laid down their arms en masse and just handed over their positions to the axis for free because the axis were about to give them an independent croatia (and once they had that state they immediately went on to hardcore genocide every serb they could get their hands on)
later, the second iteration of yugoslavia was just commie shitters who took power after the red army had waltzed in and eradicated all other political forces
The red army didn't reach Yugoslavia, that's why it was a state independent from the Soviet Union.

Edit: The reason why the communists were the only ones left was because Tito convinced the Allies to back him over the other factions, the Allies regretted this decision soon after the war ended.

if you assume trump got fucked by the swamp, you think someone like biden wouldn't, just because he's another swamp creature?
They openly lied about the troop numbers to Trump and have been supporting fucking Biden for months by telling them we need to get out. There a big mother fucking difference in how both of them were treated.

I don't believe they want that scenario to take place. They want to ostracize MAGA Americans from society, and eventually break them into compliance via a combination of terror and various incentives(e.g. your children won't be on the streets).

The media(in the weeks and months following Jan 6) spent a lot of time talking about deradicalization-that is psychological conditioning/breaking to change dissidents' beliefs.

What they’re going to do is ostracize MAGA folks from society and render them helpless-and then make the promise "go through our de rad programs and come out sucking BLM cock, and you might be able to see your kids graduate college or find some sort of job, and you might get some sort of re acceptance into mainstream society".

If they have to fire on them-that means the above efforts will have failed, and then all bets are off.

My greatest concern is the above efforts will succeed-at least partially, because too many right wing dissidents have stuff to lose-jobs, social acceptance, kids to feed, etc... and that is the greatest power the state has over them, not bullets.
You're not wrong about moral capital and shit to lose, but there's always that x-factor. There's always the chance that someone could hate them THAT much. And with the likes of Antifa running around, if you give them weapons and say that they'll be seen as heroes if they take out some MAGA people...I have a feeling they'll take up that offer.

So you're right. There's always their eeducation and conditioning route to achieve the utopia, but there's always that amount of hatred some can possess that makes them want nothing more than to see their enemies exterminated.

so, trump wants out and they lie about it, then biden's in office and they're suddenly all onboard? don't buy it. that's a bit too easy. when trump never had full control, then some geriatric like biden certainly won't have. deep state doesn't care about D or R, they want to stay in power and get rich.

If the majority of the public had balls those Afghans would be toast the minute they stepped into a suburban town. Here's hoping Biden's nepotism hires stick them in a shithole with feral joggers.
they already said they gonna put them on bases in texas, gotta shift those demographics somehow.

It would be close. Kabul has a 11,500ft long runway, and a fully loaded A380 needs about 12,000 Feet of Runway. Though Kabul is over 5,000 feet in elevation plus the heat which decreases preformance. You don't need much fuel so the weight would be less, so id imagine it could take off. However runways and taxiways have to be wide and strong enough to even hold the A380.

You think they wanted Fall of Saigon 2.0? That every ally around the world is not relying on us anymore? Oh you sweet summer child.

They won't stay there forever, they'll be sent elsewhere once their paperwork for gibs is completed.

The DoD uses civvie charters all the time. However that won't work when the contractor might go 'nnnnnah, too dangerous'. The C-17 can also take off in surprisingly short rolls which gives you insurance against the 'just lob some mortars onto the runway' thing people keep saying. And it has countermeasures dispensers.

And, as you can see from yesterday in a pinch it can care A380-like loads of people. You don't wanna, but it can. Keeping this in house is the way to go. I suspect that low number of Americans pulled out yesterday has more to do with availability of the people to be transported than capability.

The "American University of Afghanistan" in Kabul literally had a "Gender Studies Program".

Actively trying to undermine him

Leaks and lies as the military tries to undermine President Trump

Take James Franklin Jeffrey, a career Foreign Service hack who signed a scathing NeverTrump letter in 2016, then got a post as President Trump’s “Special Representative for Syria Engagement” anyway, and went on to sabotage the president’s plans for keeping Americans out of the Syrian mess. On his way out the door to a cozy retirement, Ambassador Jeffrey publicly boasted that he had lied to the president about troop numbers in Syria.
“We were always playing shell games to not make clear to our leadership how many troops we had there,” he told Defense One.
After the defeat of ISIS, the president gave orders to withdraw our troops — but the likes of Jeffrey simply defied them. Twice, in fact: in 2018 and 2019. “What Syria withdrawal?” There was never a Syria withdrawal,” Jeffrey told reporter Katie Bo Williams. “When the situation in northeast Syria had been fairly stable after we defeated ISIS, [Trump] was inclined to pull out. In each case, we then decided to come up with five better arguments for why we needed to stay. And we succeeded both times.”

Supported Biden

Intelligence Warned of Afghan Military Collapse, Despite Biden’s Assurances

By July, many intelligence reports grew more pessimistic, questioning whether any Afghan security forces would muster serious resistance and whether the government could hold on in Kabul, the capital. President Biden said on July 8 that the Afghan government was unlikely to fall and that there would be no chaotic evacuations of Americans similar to the end of the Vietnam War.
One report in July — as dozens of Afghan districts were falling and Taliban fighters were laying siege to several major cities — laid out the growing risks to Kabul, noting that the Afghan government was unprepared for a Taliban assault, according to a person familiar with the intelligence.
