Mauler liked Suicide Squad 2, said he had fun, next efap is gonna be about it.
Not really surprised since he really likes Gunn/GotG, but I was hoping for more antagonism.

He should try having fun more often, even if it doesn't make for spicy content. Ignore the algorithm for once and just engage with media normally. It'll do wonders for his outlook on things in general.

With the exception of a Rick and Morty EFAP, I think any show he likes would make for a far better and more interesting EFAP episode than the inevitable ten hour bitch fests he'll have for both Hawkeye and Ms.Marvel.

Basically, it's Nerdrotic talking about he's sick of Year One and Old Batman and that we should be seeing Prime Batman like in TAS. He then refers to "some Youtuber" who claims that TAS is bad and says that opinion is irrelevant.
I find it hilarious that this boomer is slapping this loser hangeron. I know Gary respects Mauler, and while I’m not a fan of Nerdrotic, I can sympathize with his disdain for a certain autistic beta who clings onto EFAP and his hateboner at SM2 for clout.

I was watching the Half in the Bag for Black Widow the other day. Mike and Jay both mentioned that they either watched one or two episodes of the Marvel TV shows or just ignored them because they either thought they were bad/had no interest in them. They didn't force themselves to sit down and watch the whole entire series, then spend X hours making a review for it. I don't think it's a stretch to say that's what most normal people would do.

Instead, they focus their content on stuff that they're passionate about. They sometimes do it with Best of the Worst, where if a movie is too boring and there's no jokes to make about it, they'll skip it for something else they actually want to talk about it.

Negative reviews can work, but you need to really care about the thing you're reviewing. That's why I think a lot of new Star Wars reviews work, the people reviewing them are passionate about the older movies and have a lot to talk about with why those movies worked vs. what Disney is doing wrong.

With the Marvel shows, it feels like they're forcing themselves to watch them but don't have anything substantial to say because, while they might like the grand universe, they don't really care about the characters the shows are focused on. Sure, you can still be critical of them, and I do believe there's a lot to be critical about, but a lot of their complaints are very surface level and thus, uninteresting. If they were passionate about it, that could carry it, but again, these are characters they don't really care about so it just comes off as bland.

In comparison, I think their Batwoman stuff is usually top notch. Those are just very surface level reviews where they point out the obvious bad writing and everything, but they have the same passion as cult movie fans, so they're fun to watch. I also thought the Rick and Morty interlude in one of the recent EFAPs was pretty good and actually got me to go and watch the episode they were talking about after not having watched Rick and Morty in years.

I agree a review of something they like would be much more interesting at this point, just because I think they'd actually have a lot to say versus a predictably negative review of a show we all know they won't like because they don't care about it.

I'll be editing this post with observations from this episode, but I doubt I'll be able to watch it all for obvious reasons.
This one was very interesting for me because I wanted to see if he'll go through with his "maulerisms" or if he will dismiss them in favor of favoritism for this movie in particular.

+ The first point of contention is "Waller's team not checking if Weasel could swim makes everyone dumb" (a very common maulerism) Mauler and Fringy dismiss it in favor of comedy, while Evan insists it's bad.
+ They stop at every minutia as usual, I can't keep up, lol. but they seem positive overall.
+ Harley hate seems to be universal among the panel, this is the first time things turn negative.
+ "So far every action sequence is fun to watch, but its a logistical nightmare" -Southpaw
+ I pretty much stopped listening but somebody just superchatted twice to tell them movie was bad, and they picked it up immediately, stopped the review and made a big deal out of it.

Sorry to hijack this thread. I believe the worst moment of Batman vs Superman is not the Martha scene. I believe it is the Peach Tea Senate explosion scene. Just because of all the wasted potential. Throughout whole film, there is this pretentious attitude and that makes a huge fucking deal of what will Superman say in committee? Will he answer his crimes etc ?

So Superman shows up and before he can speak, the place explodes. Bear in mind he hasn't spoken 30 lines before this point.
Instead of having him defend himself or apologise to wheelchair man, he stands like an awkward statue after a fucking explosion looking disappointed.
