Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Seeing some chatter on twitter that the US froze Afghanistan's bank assets which will be draining cash from Taliban.
I mean... I get that we don't want to fund them... But for fucks sake you should probably wait until all the Americans you want to get out of Afghanistan are safely out of Afghanistan. If we actually pulled that move, that's just daring them to start taking hostages.

That may be the only reason I can fathom they could have seen for thinking freezing their assets was a good idea. If you suspect hostiles are already planning to kill someone you're trying to protect, adding financial leverage and turning it into a hostage situation can at least buy some time.

Given this admin though I doubt that thought ever entered any of their minds and it's entirely coincidence.

Fascism and/or communism. Seriously, when everything is broken, inevitably the masses will turn to a murderous strongman who will fuck shit up, kill lots of people to fix shit, and inevitably create a major global war to overthrow them that burns enough shit to the ground to allow the masses to actually have a fresh start to begin all over again.

Because that's where we are at today in society. EVERYONE is basically at the point where they are waiting for the end times to kick in, the fourth turning to begin in earnest so we can start the four turning cycle all over again at phase one and praying we survive/end up on top when the wheel resets itself.

Not anytime soon, the whole world is watching and they're enjoying phenomenal optics. The mass executions are going to be months down the line once Afghanistan is safely out of the news cycle again, they're rounding up everyone's guns for a reason.

He deserves to be at the bare minimum to be forced out in disgrace and to have the shame of 'the general who lost America's longest war' branded on him forever. He seems like the most obvious target if the Biden admin wants to find someone to take the fall too, but something tells me he'll be writing memoirs about how his fight to root out white supremacy in the military and how Trump ruined everything in no time.

Too early to give a stable number. There is a week delay in the polls as information percolates among the masses and opinions solidify. Early signs are bad for Biden, and there is no way this doesn't result in a drop, but how bad won't be known for a while.

Early results though: Opinions of Biden down, opinions of the "capital insurrection" dropped through the floor, surprisingly high people willing to house refugees, middle-eastern opinions of Biden also show a marked decrease ahead of the norm.
