Taliban offensive of 2021 and collapse of Afghan government.

In less than a day

>Iranians go full ahead with their nuclear program
>China get uppity and say to Taiwan and Hong Kong that America is not going to save their collective ass and prepare for the Pooh dicking that is coming for them
>Every single enemy of the USA is going ahead with their plans of fucking shit up because they know Biden can´t and will not do shit

Most popular president in the history of the USA my ass

So does anyone wonder why the fuck no news source -- not even a conservative or tabloid type source that could "make hay" out of anti-Biden sentiment and love "if it bleeds, it leads" material -- is currently running a counter on planes and evacuees currently known to be rescued?

That kind of counting isn't just a gimmick to get clicks (it is that, too, of course). Just like we've seen with doing daily case counts for covid and tracking them on graphs, making people get out the numbers and having people who are pressing for those numbers to go in a specific direction can have a significant policy influence. For best results, they could even have a counter on the number of EMPTY SEATS flown by these planes, an indictment of this administration's inability to plan at the scale of human lives.

If the New York Post or similar wanted to push these assholes into actually making a difference, it's one of the few times an infographic might actually save lives.

Will it effect any coming elections?
The midterms? Maybe a little bit. As for the 2024 election it probably won't matter at all. The demographics of the country already ensure that it's pretty much the Dems' game to lose, and there will probably be another George Floyd to rile up everyone by the spring of 2024.

So this is an amazing fuck up, but the spin doctors in the (((media))) are really good at their jobs. So they are currently spinning up a narrative to keep the NPCs happy which should roll out in the next couple days.

What are, if any, real lasting effects you folks imagine will follow this as we see the damage control being ramped up to 11? Will Bob Normie remember any of this in a month? Will it effect any coming elections? Do elections even matter after what we saw in 2020?
No one will ever take the US military seriously ever again, after Vietnam, Iraq and now Afghanistan it's clear that, with the exception of Desert Storm, they can't win a war.

That puts us in an incredibly dangerous position with our enemies and rivals, if we lose to a bunch goat farmers with old AK 47s and RPGs then the Russian or Chinese militaries would absolutely kick our dick in the dirt.

They'll downplay it and hammer the party line of "Biden did the best he could under the circumstances" (even though he didn't). Then they'll get assmad whenever Republicans pounce on it, deriding it as another pouncing on Benghazi or "but her emails".

Or they'll just revert to our regular scheduled Covid fearmongering and WhatAboutTrumpism/muh Jan. 6, as if nothing happened.
Benghazi was a real early example of the modern left's playbook, I look back and cringe at the reactions I saw from the left wing online community I was a part of then, it was literally "who gives a single shit?"

That’s pretty much my thoughts of it. That or they have something to lose. And again, they may be waiting for the other side to start it.

I still believe that the most it’ll become is The Troubles.
I think Balkanisation is the infinitely more likely outcome. States vary enough that it is unlikely you would end up with a unified rebel force. Frankly, I couldn't give less of a fuck about states that don't immediately effect the one I live in. Most average people are going to be the same way. The federal government could curb stomp a rebellion. They wouldn't know what to do if they had to handle 10+ separate insurgencies. It's not about a single issue like the first civil war, it would be about wanting out of the union. That is much easier to accomplish individually.

And truth be told, Republicans should ABSOLUTELY beat them over the head with this for years to come (or at least until the midterms/'24). What did Rahm Emanuel say? "Never let a good crisis go to waste?"

I know the GOPe won't do this, professional losers that they are, but they absolutely should "pounce" on this. Play as dirty as the Dems.

I've been keeping an eye on reported evacuation flights. Flights aren't coming out of there without being noticed when they leave Afghan airspace and turn the transponders back on.

It doesn't appear that any planes since the initial 640-person C-17 have been loaded beyond their traditional "full" complement of humans, even though most of these planes are designed to carry large metal objects and could easily carry 2-4x their normal seated capacity if preserving human life were the principal objective of the current mission.

Instead, all evidence points to flights being underloaded, with just a few people on planes that can hold many more. Australia sent a 90-man plane to pick up 26 people.

Even if everything was loaded as much as possible, I don't see that there's any way the current air traffic numbers could suggest an evacuation of more than 1000 people today.

My prediction for the total number of evacuees for the previous 24 hours, by the time of the next daily briefing, is 650-900. We'll see.
they better evacuate way more americans and europeans n shit, or i'll raise some hell

The doomer part of me says that they won't.

Then I remember something.

The reminders are all around everyone.

Dead and maimed relatives. Years of taxes. "We Support Our Troops" bumper stickers.

They CAN'T memoryhole this, because it is the culmination of a 20 year event.

Sure, your average soyboy, who had little to no contact at all with the war besides tweets and long blog posts, they can forget it easily except to feel vindicated or to rub it into the face of the opposition that they lost.

But this isn't a strictly military loss.

This was the Washington Elite and the corporations pissing away everything for Chinkbux and political clout.

You're going to remember this when you go to the ballot box.

Just that little red white and blue "I Voted" sticker is going to remind you that it was all for nothing. Worse than nothing.

They can try to memoryhole it, but it won't work.

Worse, it'll start busting through NPC programming when the powers that be inevitably try to throw Joe and Joan Six Pack's kid or cousin or nephew under the bus by saying it wasn't the government or Generals fault, but the fault of the lower ranks for not believing in Tinkerbell hard enough.
especially that it's now happening less that a month before the 9/11 anniversary
if it had been some months back it would have had a better chance, but even for the hyuumons this will be fast

I doubt normies will do anything at all. In terms of lasting effects the main things I think it will cause are A: The regular military enlisted folk are absolutely pissed at the generals and the government, and B: If something like 1/6 happens again the people might not exactly trust that the NG or Army are actually going to do shit to stop them from stomping congress critters.

Imagine..? It’s happening as the arms of the clock whirl.
Wait, is that the unspoken reason why unemployment is so fucking high? I heard it was cause people just didn't want to go back to work after getting free gibs for months + a lot of business are just dead now. But if it's actually white flight on a nationwide scale... ahhahaa There's no fucking way they'll ever allow us to talk about THAT, at least until it becomes our problem and we have to fix it for them.

There is a small but sizable black middle class in NYC alone, many are former vets who drive buses and trains, are in the NYPD, work as nurses etc who bought homes and have mortgages. They are highly unlikely to go along with slaving away for a bunch of goatfuckers and troons.
I have it on good authority from the highest minds of the progressive left that all black and brown people are a commodity and hivemind and will absolutely embrace collectivism upon demand.

"Welcome back, Carter!" indeed.

The Taliban seem to be getting frustrated with the panicked mobs around the airport and have been sweeping them off the streets and onto the sidewalks so traffic can continue. This of course is deemed the most horrific thing ever by kvetching women on Twitter because they just see people shooting and crowds running.

The Taliban shoots into the air to disperse people. The Biden military kills them. Remember two refugees were shot dead by Biden's troops.

Hey DUMB DUMB. Biden got those troops from Trump, so they’re defective. What, can your small brain not handle facts and stuff?

Hey, this is super fun. Wonder where these people are? You know. The people who all post the same insult>FACCCCCTTTTTTSSSSS>belittle?

yeah that's exactly the point

America was once immunized against in-fighting because people shared a sense of community and way of life, even when times are tough it's hard to harm someone you consider a real neighbor and, more importantly, a real person. That sentiment is almost entirely gone.
But it was also immunized against violence by being so rich and fat that nobody had any reason to kill eachother. This is how things are now, so that even with everyone being spiteful and cruel they live so well they won't act out to endanger that. The only way you get by this is by A) taking away the money and fun, or B) radicalizing people to the point they forget how rich and fat they are. I doubt America will reach a state of actual poverty, but I can easily see people being so radicalized that a very small infringement on their comfort will be taken as a full-blown meltdown that leads to violence.

Think of it like chemistry; it'd take a staggering infringement on rights to get the average american energized enough to be out on the streets, but what do we call those things that lower activation energy?
Again, the motherfuckers that think they stand above the rest of humanity are the most retarded short-sighted nigger lovers this side of a white woman stuck in college.
