I could completely understand if there was some government event that President Trump had setup for this year at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Sure, no problem if the Democrats want to waste some cash to move it just to spite Trump.

But the Afghanistan withdrawal agreement has absolutely nothing to do with President Trump. It is plain common sense that anyone from any party would negotiate. A phased withdrawal with threats of attack if each stage is not successfully implemented along with getting anyone and everyone safely moved to already secured areas and then out of the country over the months as each phase moves forward.

Breaking this agreement is as mind boggling idiotic as President Trump telling someone that a frying pan is too hot to touch and they immediately grab it to own him.

This is a fucking nuclear armed super power and we have people acting like high school mean girls. And it is getting people killed.

I'm not sure. At a point people get tired of their worldly attachments. What does it matter if I get to eat today if I'm chattel? What's a muddy ditch compared to a pod? Cardboard compared to bugs? That my kids must go to public re-education? That all the entertainment you used to love is being turned to propaganda against what you know to be true? That the vile and immoral people who've taken control are pillaging the future, and will go as far as they are let? At a point the comfort of a bed becomes no more than that of hard ground. Sure, most wont understand this, most will find some little thing to excuse the injustices they're being made to suffer, but how many won't, if given the chance? It will be hell, but look at where the world is going. Are you going to wait until the ground under your feet is hot? If you're lucky, most of it you've only seen on the internet, and it's hard to blame someone for not being stirred to action by pixels on a screen. But as it begins to creep in, the realization things are again going where we only joked just a few years prior will settle on your heart.

That said, I don't want a civil war. I want things to be better, or at least not getting worse. I get the feeling civil conflict between primitively organized sides is well within the contingencies of those in charge. What I really want is people to collectivize in a real, meaningful sense. In a way that can't be pushed around. I don't think this works out unless people throw themselves at it with the same drive, but more controlled, as that which would have them fight with their lives, to be willing to reshape who they are to make the collective work, and to spit in the face of the common reply, "think of the WACO". Who cares about WACO. It's a better plan than a civil war, and I get the sense the government fears more WACOs than they do another attempt on the capital. And who knows? If they start proving themselves resilient, any number of things could happen.

Ideally it would be a cold war, an extension or escalation of the culture war we already are in. It would be quite the advantage to be able to throw out all the welfare leaches and other undesirables right back to them. The tax collectors from the federal government can be told to go dilate.
