Puberty blockers are such a perfect metaphor for troonery. It's not just about refusing to mature physically, it's about refusing to mature emotionally too.

Troons haven't learned adult-level life skills--most especially emotional self-regulation--due to overly-permissive and protective parenting. Their bodies mature before they can handle it emotionally, and the response is to try and refuse to grow up, since the adult world is perceived as an awful place. Hence they see themselves as "girls" or "boys" and try to remove traits associated with maturity. The cross-sex characteristics they pursue are for the purpose of immature sexual self-satisfaction, not to be seen as an adult member of the other sex.

This is also why almost all troons are deeply emotionally immature too. Their psychological defenses are child-like: They don't accept responsibility and blame others for their failures, they prioritize their own desires over others, they expect to be taken care of, they value escapism to an unhealthy degree, and they have no interest in building a career or growing up as a person. They want to remain immature adults.

Troonery is the new face of Peter Pan Syndrome.

A couple months ago I saw it again, and when I saw the word cloud of names in the top left, I was curious: which names are the most popular with troons? I suspect there'd be a lot of overlap between the FTM and NB names if that was ever to be done, as a lot of the FTMs seem to love names that are/could be seen as gender neutral, as opposed to the hyperfeminine choices of MTFs. There was a similar sub a while ago, r/illnessfakersgonewild, where a neon haired girl faking DID/multiple personalities and some other disability that affects the muscles (so she used a cane/wheelchair) was profiled, but how dare you call her a girl, as she identified as "transmasculine" and went by he/him, and even took testosterone, despite doing nothing to present as such (aside from gross pube stache/unshaven legs and a slightly deepened voice). Between this and certain recent events, I've been blown away by how adamant this movement is when it comes to respecting pronouns, no matter how horrible the person being discussed is.

The Onion article is great, but Pride parades didn't and probably still don't peak many normies that didn't dislike gays already, because they are linked to a specific time and place and are therefore easily avoidable. Anyone who lives in a large-ish city is used to avoiding certain places at certain times if they want to avoid seeing debauchery, and since most of that debauchery is actually heterosexual it's hard to pin it all on the gays.

This new TRA stuff is different because it is determined to push into normie spaces. Invasion of these spaces is actually an inextricable part of the movement, because of the constant need for tranny validation. A gay man is still certain of being a gay man even if no normie on earth knows or cares that he sucks dick; an AGP must have his 'feminine' identity validated by every person he sees or talks to or his identity falls apart. I don't think this stuff about pushing gender on young children is an attempt at grooming (although it will be taken advantage of by predators, anything that involves this kind of secrecy will be) so much as an attempt to get 'trans women are women!' normalized and accepted as quickly as possible, by spreading it through schools.
