Taliban offensive of 2021 and collapse of Afghan government.

I think one of the rather interesting bits is how China is very loudly stating they're going into Afghanistan as economic partners. There is no timetable for its beginning but China is already claiming it is going to include Afghanistan in the belt and road initiative.

I stated before, during the period of time lost to the database failure that the real problem of losing Afghanistan is not terrorism or drugs, its the pipeline opportunity. Afghanistan is going to play host to a pipeline running from Iran to China and this completely and utterly destroys American policy since nearing on the 1980s, the goal being to use the US Navy to impede and potentially blockade China's access to oil from the Middle East. With Iran getting good money from their oil from the endless market of China they'll instantly become a major power in the region and this also begins to pick apart the petrodollar. Given that Iraq is dominated by its Iran aligned Shiite majority there is also the likelihood that Iraq will also become part of this flow to China. OPEC will likely reassess its policy of only accepting the US Dollar and likely add in the Yuan... not immediately, but some time over the 2020s.

Should have gotten out by May 1st. Delaying the leaving by three months means the plan is on hold for three months. Then three months is up and oopsie, no plan. This is evidenced by the army leaving before the civvies. What a fuck up.

But why did the Biden administration drag their feet way past the May 1st deadline?
It surely hasn't worked out well for them politically, seeing how the world is mocking them and even their lapdog media is starting to low-key criticize them over this.

Here are some theories that I've seen on social media or come up with myself:
  • Theory 1: TDS. Leaving by May 1st was Trump's plan, so they just had to miss that deadline out of spite.

  • Theory 2: Forever war aspirations. They were biding their time and hoping that their glowniggers could pull off some fuckery that would make it politically viable to cancel the troop evacuation and stay in Afghanistan for another 20 years. But somehow that failed.

  • Theory 3: Incompetence. They failed to listen to the people in the military who could have told them that the Afghan government & army was a joke, and thus really got caught by surprise by the Taliban's fast takeover.

  • Theory 4: Vanity. Biden wanted the conclusion of the evacuation to coincide with the anniversary of 9/11 so that he could hold a schmaltzy speech along the lines of "Bush started this; I ended it!" and be celebrated by his lapdog media as the second-greatest president ever (after Black Jesus).
What do you think?

Is this like the fake moon landing?
Even worse. At least Armstrong, Aldrin and third guy came back alive. Fake Bin Laden ended up in the sea.

1,3 and 4. Your forever war is happening, but it isn't in the Mid-east anymore.

Can you link the article that screenshot is from? This is interesting and I'd like to read what those different lines actually are, etc.

All 4

1 is just bonus points for 4 and they expected 2 anyway but 3 happened.

Is this like the fake moon landing?

Not really. To fake the moon landing you would have required the complicity of hundreds, maybe even thousands of people. You'd have had to have signals transmitted from up near the moon itself so that they could be picked up as expected by monitoring bases around the world including Australia. And you'd have had to keep a lid on all of this for the past sixty years.

For OBL, you just had to have a handful of special forces people say that his body was thrown overboard. And potentially even just carry out a fake dumb raid. Also, the whole rationale about just dumping his body in the ocean out of respect for Islamic custom makes zero sense whatsoever.

Way I see it there are three most sensible possibilities:
  1. They had him years ago but kept it secret because it justified their presence in Afghanistan. (Well, justified to idiots but that aside...)
  2. They captured him alive and said he was dead for political purposes.
  3. The Special Forces that captured or killed him got a bit enthusiastic and threw him overboard and there's a thin fig-leaf of "we meant to do that" pasted over it.

I think 3 or 4 are most likely.

The US looks down on every other country and thinks it's superior to everyone, so I doubt a few hundred brown dudes in the desert with homemade bombs would've made the US fearful. They can't help but think the radical islamist groups are nothing but a small annoyance, which is what led to 9/11 in the first place. I genuinely think the Afghans took them by surprise this time.

4 is also a viable theory, since the 9/11 date seems very far from the original May deadline. There's no way they had that much of a delay. The US military is incompetent, but not to the point that they need several more months to GTFO.

My guess is literally this, it's a crime as a democrat to give Trump literally any credit for anything.

That or more likely, Biden just legit forgot due to dementia and by the time he realized it, it was too late

did no one else in his vicinity think for just a minute that breaking the Trump treaty with the Taliban was going to result in a shitshow?
They didn't care. All that mattered at the time was undoing as much of Trump's progress as possible.

1 and 4, maybe 2 and 3, but mainly 1 and 4.

I would pay good money to see people traumatized by being called their actual gender and womyn who think being flirted with is akin to being gangraped by the Red Army take on the Taliban.

I would pay good money to see every reddit Troon made an honorary member of the Kabul flying club.

Perhaps when the actor retired, they retired the character with him out of respect, rather than recasting.

As someone who'd like to belive in meritocracy I used to refuse to accept that incompetent assholes can reach such heights of power, but the more I look up the happenings in China and around the world in general the more I believe that complete morons run the world, so my pick is mostly 3 with a dash of 4.

If he had been captured during the Bush years, given all the political pressure Bush was feeling, I can't imagine why he would keep that secret.

If he had been captured earlier in the Obama years, why would Obama sit on it?
