I keep thinking these government orders, mandates, and vaccine passports won't going away for a very long time, and when it does, it will go away because barely anyone follows them and leave us with no fanfare. Like I've compared this to the US National Speed Limit, the "Can't Drive 55" shit, which was put in place because we needed to reduce our fuel consumption because of the oil embargo and then kept in place because of dubious statistics regarding safety. It lasted almost twenty years until the early 90s and was widely ignored, like to the point that a number of traffic studies confirm that people are more likely to follow the usual 70 MPH speed limit than they were the 55 MPH speed limit. The police only bothered enforcing it whenever they needed to write more traffic tickets and there were never enough cops to enforce it even though you'd think with so many people not giving a fuck most departments could easily hire more officers and buy more cars like a lot of speed trap towns do.

That's what this will be like. There will be many, many times and places you'll never need a mask and nobody will check your papers, but every now and then you'll find some asshole wagie on a power trip who demands you wear the virus hijab or show your vaccine passport or you'll be particularly unlucky and a cop might cite you. Some businesses might get fucked because they aren't checking vaccine passports on the day the health inspector shows up, but that's no different than when they fuck up cleaning in one area and get a citation.

This is the new normal until you die. It's seeing half the people walked around with their face half covered. It's being surprised out of the blue when a store demands to see your vaccine passport after the other 5 stores you went to didn't bother. If you're lucky enough, your government might quietly remove these policies.

That's communism for you. Marx presumed communism would inevitably win in the end just like how capitalism beat feudalism and your option was to get with the times of the coming proletarian world order or enjoy being on the wrong end of the revolution.

Love the note about avian influenza vaccines being leaky too. I guess we should be lucky that what helps a virus kill chickens isn't what helps a virus kill humans.

The first person to let you know you're a close contact is your employer, your kids school, your local gym whatever. It's up to you at that point if you want self isolate or not. The government usually doesn't contact a tier 1 contact until days after, they're so fucking incompetent. This is the main reason we keep having lockdown after lockdown.

If you're positive you'll be sent a text message to go home and isolate. MAYBE a cop will show up at your door a few days after, but most don't get a 'welfare check'. I've known a few who've been positive and not a one had any visits, mostly just a couple of phone calls. After 14 days you're free to go about your business.

I'm as against lockdowns as anyone but this is scare mongering bullshit. Nobody is forced to go into a hotel except people coming in from overseas and the homeless. Folks living in small apartments with large families, mostly poor immigrants and welfare cases, are occasionally offered but again usually not because the medi-hotels are 4 and 5 star star city accommodation and it's expensive.

I'm currently living under a curfew and I need a fucking permit to go to work, which is bad enough, no need to load up with this stuff. This is my 200th day in a HARD lockdown, you pussies don't know yourself.

It’s BS. The last place they want to put you is in a hotel. What my government is doing is fucking appalling. My kids have been off school for months, everything is closed, we are under a curfew, it fucking sucks. It is really bad in Straya. We are watching either ourselves or our families being locked down in various states, especially at the moment. Some states in Straya are doing better than others. Some states like Victoria and NSW, people are being treated appallingly with extended lockdowns and no end in sight. Restrictions are getting harder each day. for example, I live in Queensland and even though we are at double doughnut day (0 cases), it is still mandatory to wear masks at least until this weekend, but that could be extended as we share a border with NSW, which is an absolute mess at the moment, and there is huge fear from our Premier that it will leak into Qld, which is highly likely. nearly 700 new cases yesterday and today in NSW. and the numbers keep going up each day. Businesses have gone bankrupt. People are working from home with high pressure jobs and having to homeschool at the same time. Horrific. Imagine being University lecturer and teaching online classes throughout the day with your own children wanting your attention or needing your attention at the same time. day in. day out. Mental health issues have gone through the roof. People are screaming for things to return to normal and get back to some semblance of normalcy at least.

However, there are no FEMA camps lol. Hotel quarantine is for people returning form overseas, or another state, or homeless people during lockdown. These people have to pay for this themselves (or an NGO will help fund it for homeless people). If they can't afford it straight up, they get a bill to pay off. We do have quarantine facilities in Howard Springs in the NT (top end state of Straya), but all the olympians are staying there at the moment with an extended stay. They built these facilities as hotel quarantine kept causing more covid to happen sometimes. People were sneaking out. People with covid were visiting each other in different hotel rooms. The air cons were spreading covid. Lots of reasons that this has failed at times in hotels. Hence, the philosophy behind the Howard Springs facility was it was far, far, farrr away from civilisation and if anything happened in terms of spreading it then meh, they could extend the time people stay there and contain the virus before it got to the cities.

If you have to wear an ankle bracelet, it is because you have returned from overseas and this is another option that is being trialled as opposed to hotel quarantine. If you choose this option, then you have the same rules as people in hotel quarantine. Don't spread coof. stay home for 2 weeks and then you can go back to your usual day. The guy in the video must have returned from overseas and I couldn't see a time stamp from when this video was taken? someone might know? If he didn't follow the rules as he agreed to, then they have decided that hey mate, you agreed to stay home and follow the rules but you kept sneaking out to have 3am kebabs, so now, off you go to a hotel. He made the choice to accept an ankle bracelet. Yes, it does appear inhumane. What is happening is inhumane. But, if you chose to travel back to Straya, then you are scrutinised even more. He put the spotlight on himself and then made a video of his stupidity.

this is more about ankle bracelets and it is 2020. I couldn't find anything more recent, so maybe they have stopped this option now as people just didn't do their isolation for 2 weeks and kept sneaking out for 3am kebabs.

Ultimately, as we all know, it's all about money and power, and they are doing that 'click your fingers and want it to happen yesterday' thing, that is rampant amongst lefties.

Personally I think that Fauci and Co (Soros) are PISSED in a major way that Pfizer (and the others, Pfizer especially though), beat them to the punch. Pfizer and it's shareholders have made billions, while Fauci, Soros, the Democrats, have been left in their dust.

All of this 'push push push' is purely to make sure, that they get their 'fair share'.

We know that 'big business', doesn't give a hoot about collateral damage, as long as they keep raking in their billions. It's easier to pay out a few hundred million for injured and dead people, than it is to fix the issue that is causing it. It's called a risk assessment, they covered themselves really well this time with the indemnity clauses in the contracts (insurance companies are based on it), and the general public is always the last consideration.

We left morals and ethics in the dirt a long, long time ago, and it's only now (thanks to easy access to technology) that we're truly seeing, how many of our fellow 'citizens' also have no morals and ethics.

It's amazing how different the language coming from government is here than in the states. The Chief Medical Officer of Health, the person in charge of the pandemic response, lifted the mask mandate. We had six cases in one day, this is roughly the same as California having around 475 in one day because my province has a small population, and people started to panic and asked the CMOH if she should reintroduce the mask mandate. Here's the response:

But still, 2/3 of the overnight hospital admissions are from unvaccinated, so that is a big argument for the vaccine. On the other hand, they are looking at the cases starting with the 1st of February, when the number of unvaccinated was much higher. Is there a monthly breakdown of this data?
