Clownfish TV / Thomas & Kambrea Pratt / Kneon & Geeky Sparkles - The Self-Proclaimed Nemeses of Kevin Smith, Profiting off of Nerd Outrage, Part of the Fandom Menace, Gaslit by a Cartoon

They really have a massive hate-boner for Kevin Smith.
It's very similar to the Quartering's bizarre multi-video obsession with Brie Larson.
I mean, I’m sure it’s common with a lot of these FM channels: they see these people as posers who came from the boom of shit like The Big Bang Theory and the MCU and tries to make it like what they saw because Bazinga. And when the people already there see them as parasites and it’s time for fate keeping hours, the beef is born.

TL;DR: After reporting on Disney's financial losses in their theme parks throughout the pandemic, low-key celebrating their struggles, Geeky and Kneon spend 18 minutes bitching about jacked-up prices and convincing themselves that surely this will be the end for the House of Mouse. You know, even though the recent sale of Boo Bash sold out instantaneously with even Geeky herself spending hours on the phone trying to get tickets. And while I agree that the recent prices aren't exactly affordable to the average Joe, it's pretty obvious why they are doing this. Anyone who can't afford this can simply not go, a foreign concept to Clownfish TV it seems.
I know that I am late on this, but there are other theme parks you can go to besides Disney. Like in Florida there is Busch Gardens for example. There is more to life than just Disney, you have options.

Disney World isn't even the best movie studio owned theme park in Florida.

Small edit: I'm pretty sure they've done about 10 to 20 videos over Kevin Smith in the last couple months.
To be fair,a good number of people have been calling Kevin Smith a washed up hasbeen for a while. Anyone remember Kevin Smith's Green Hornet?

I wonder if this thread was made by them to up their numbers, that, ironically, would make then lolcows.

Considering how much they seem to enjoy that little bit of relevance to 'stick it up' to the corporations. I doubt they'll be dumb enough to become less restrained on purpose only to earn a thread here. It would only show their autism to try and 1-up the farms.

I used to listen to them. Geeky's voice was annoying but I didn't think she was fat till she said she was and I saw a picture of her and have been grossed out ever since. Screw fat people.

This is such a weird take regarding animation

They do know the internet exists now right?

The rotoscoping is one of the most charming things about the old show if you watch it today on youtube with fresher eyes. The effects weren't so jarring back then or it could be faulty memory, but you'll periodically see scenes where He-Man will move unbelievably smoothly to pick up a boulder or something, and you can just tell it's a real dude picking up a foam boulder to hurl. Then in the next scene you'll get some janky walk animation that looks as cheap as anything Hanna-Barbera did in the 70's with the Herculoids. Certain scenes look as if they were traced over a real person doing a real scene; that's the rotoscoping in action.

At this timestamp, Cringer charges off into the air at what can only be a mistaken angle, but when He-Man arrives in the steam vents the boulder hurling is remarkably smooth. It goes back and forth in quality like this constantly.

So the agenda will be either:
"Mattel/Netflix ruins our childhood again"
Or
"OMG this looks so good you guys. Certainly much better than Kevin Smith's!"

If they don't bitch, it's Kevin Hate. If they do bitch it will be because He-Man shares his power with poc vagina owners. Nevermind that he originally did something similar with She-Ra and you've also got Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. That was something similar so it's not uncommon or "woke" in the fantasy industry.

I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the trailer but if I was going to bitch about a reboot obviously made for grades k-5 I'd say:
-Orko is a robot.
-Keldor isn't a Gar. That race is where he gets his blue skin from.

The one thing I'd argue is that they really try to shoehorn in black kids into a show where people traditionally have blue, green, yellow & purple skin. Yeah the main characters are white but sheesh, give it a rest, black people aren't going to watch it.

I got modern Transformers vibes from it, and apparently the animation studio is the same that's done the recent Clone Troopers shows. Leans a little hard into the tech side but it looks more watchable than Kevin Smith's version. I'll defer to /co/ and /tv/ when it comes out or leaks early whether it's worth watching or not; at the very least their threads will squeeze some lemonade out of the lemon.

I love how throughout the fallout that was Kevin Smith's He-Man, Kneon and Geeky repeatedly insisted that the issue was mainly due to Kevin Smith's "rude" tone towards fans and how his version was touted as a faithful continuation, but this second show did none of that and they still find a way to be pissed off about it. Sorry guys, but today's children aren't watching Filmation's adaptation and the right holders for these IPs would be foolish to just leave them unused. I at least appreciate how this show is unapologetically remade from the ground-up and doing something new for their intended demographic; children. Shows like these could actually help make children interested in the older versions, but people like Kneon and Geeky would rather not have it happen at all because "muh nostalgia"! There's valid criticism, then there's just pathetic gate-keeping that benefits no one except the losers unwilling to share these IPs with newer generations.

Maybe I am too much of a zoomer to understand, but what is so great about He-Man anyway? It looks kind of retarded, even the old stuff.
You had to be there. The 80s with their toys and cartoons to push the toys were perfect for the time. Atari was the main console and not everyone was addicted to games yet. Nintendo wouldn't be in the US til 85. Cartoons and their toy tie-ins were peak immersion into the fantasy world.
