I wonder how that'll go. I'd imagine the Taliban have slipped in some agents in there but if they haven't openly moved on the valley they must think it's pretty formidable.
In the short run they'll be good, Panjshir is easy to defend, the Soviets never managed to hold it, the Taliban couldn't take it in the 90s and it remained one of the safest places to be in Afghanistan during the occupation. In the long run they're doomed without supply lines and Massoud's son said as much.

I love the whole "It's difficult to disable an airfield!!!!"

The fuck it is. Modern artillery, hell, modern mortar rounds will rip a fucking airfield right the fuck up.

And I want to see their 'specialists' (Combat Engineers) run out there and fix it.

I want to know, when was the last time the Combat Engineers of 82nd Airborne trained to fix an airfield. Under fire. Without tools. Without asphalt. Without concrete.

This isn't a fucking dirt airfield that you can run a bulldozer over twice and its good.

They start dropping modern 155's or 8" on that airfield, and it's fucked.

But hey, I'm sure the guys from 82nd can just run right out there and spit in the hole and fix it.

This is delicate as shit.

Anyone know if the CENTCOM is still on the Kabul airfield? Because if he is, I can fucking guarantee that nobody is going to do anything to risk anything with that no-valor having fat faggot with 42 years in sucking dick hanging around.

The thing is, you just KNOW he went there, knowing he's perfectly safe, so he can put on his Wikipedia "Personally oversaw the Americans fuck a greased football in Kabul" while contributing WORSE than nothing.

According to this US citizen in Kabul, he attempted to get out of Afghanistan at the Kabul Airport and the American Marine Corps turned his family away with warning gun shots and flashbang grenades.

The failure of our defense establishment is complete.

(I would love to embed the video but sadly l am phone posting and embed options are being denied)

If this man and his family is ultimately killed this dishonor won't just stain Joe Biden, it will stain the United States Marines. Forever. Centuries from now let's it be known that the marine corps at gun point handed American citizens over to the terrorists.

His name is David fox. He is abandoned by our government and the soldiers paid for by our tax dollars to protect him threw him out.

They'll get supply. This is looking more and more like it'll be the US in Iraq in 2003. Right now everyone is enjoying the stability and relative quiet. But its been less than a week. That won't last.

The Taliban are already losing their posturing. They are killing women who won't wear the burkha and executing prisoners. Its small now, but small is how it always starts. They are trying to lock down Kabul and having to set up road blocks. It'll only be a matter of time before the warlords the bought off either want more money or start refusing to follow orders.

The non-hardline elements in Pakistan will likely quietly collaborate with India & the CIA to get supply to the rebels? government reminents? ... Fuck it, I'm just going to call them the Northern Alliance since we're clearly just going full roll back to the 90s. The issues is that the viable campaign window for Afghanistan is closing; if they can't get a path from the border in, they will have themselves a rough winter.

Ya the roaring 20's are just getting started.
On top of the natural death spiral we now have the glowies being turned inwards. I wonder what great gayops they have in the works?

Establishment is weakening America to turn it into a consumer state, selling us all out to China whose influence only keeps growing as America's wanes.
That's the endgame, to turn Americans into cattle so that ruling class could just sit on their ass and milk their citizens the way China does. This is ultimately the reason why they're propping up self-hating ideology to divide people, to make them give up the idea of America as we know it. The idea of freedom and self-determination at its core.
Freedom will be extinguished under the guise of "fighting domestic terrorism" and security in general, like all the COVID bullshit. And masses seem all too willing to give up their God given rights for the promise of safety.

America's government is America's worst enemy. It's corrupt beyond anything I could've imagined just couple years ago. If things don't change drastically soon, you're all fucked. Federal government will have all the guns and you'll have none, which is just a simplistic way of saying that you will be powerless.

Leaving Afghanistan in such a fashion is either a sign of sheer incompetence or downright malice. It should be humiliating for Americans regardless, just based on the consequences. America's influence on the world stage keeps diminishing, and it's not a good thing. Because someone else is going to fill that void, and it's likely to be China.

All the wankers moaning about "but muh peace" should understand one thing. Projecting strength in the world is how you keep evil cowering, it's how you keep peace. Presence of US forces in Afghanistan was useful to that end.
It could've been done better, of course, but as usual bureaucrats perverted it, turning it into a scheme to enrich themselves and their friends. All the nation building bullshit was merely a ploy to funnel taxpayer money into MIC and politicians' pockets.
Again, to all the hippies out there, going to Afghanistan wasn't a bad idea. Someone has to make sure that local goatfuckers don't get any wrong ideas. Because muslim expansion is a legitimate threat. The problem was execution, the problem is politicians.

I believe so. Apparently Afghanistan region has lot of rare earth metals that haven't been mined yet. China alliance with Taliban leading to future joint mining ops for the Chinese EV market?

:cunningpepe:

From what I hear, apparently, these deposits aren't exactly easily accessible. Because, you know, mountains. https://thediplomat.com/2017/01/the-story-behind-chinas-long-stalled-mine-in-afghanistan/

So once the US falls are America's oligarchs going to just move to China?

There is no need if they just turn America into China.

There's some unconfirmed reports that they've already managed to counterattack into Parwan so they might be able to secure that lifeline while all eyes are on Kabul.
