It's now day 6 and we have no coherent policy either with our allies or on our own. They're going out and saving their people - and ours - while our soldiers sit at the airport pissed off that they can't do the same.
The Taliban obviously does not want to get into it with foreign soldiers, they aren't opposing the European soldiers going out and bringing people back, but the Joe Team is so scared of the Taliban they sit there thumbs up asses instead of taking advantage of that to get the job done.

Joe is hiding, Kamala escaped to Vietnam, and thousands of Americans are held by the Taliban because America has no leader who is capable of freeing them. Well, there's one guy down in Florida... I have said, repeatedly, that the situation in Afghanistan is fucked. However, it would very, very, very likely be the same no matter who was president right now. As soon as the US left, it was obvious the Taliban was going to take over again since the Afghanistan military didn't give a fuck.
However, I am still very, very happy that Biden won over Trump.

I doubt anyone was surprised that the Taliban took over. That was a given. But what about Biden's refusal to pull out by the previously agreed upon date and not evacuating US nationals before then? Why did he wait until now, nearly 4 fucking months later?
