Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

i'm not quite sure what people were expecting regarding afghanistan. we've been there for 20 fucking years with very little to show for it. if 20 years worth of training by the american military couldn't make the afghani military actually competent, nothing will.

besides, they didn't fucking want us there in the first place. why should they fight for a government they never even supported?

"but the civilians, the women, the children!" well, first, we had no right being there. as nice as it sounds to spread democracy and the american way, it wasn't our fucking place. besides, it seemed inevitable that things would go back to business as usual after the US left. all that can be done is to take in refugees who are at risk of being killed by the taliban.

inb4 but the refugees will be taliban in disguise. the united states is actually allowed to be picky with who we take in because, well, we are separated by an ocean. we're lucky in that regard, although it is kind of bullshit that the US, who started this mess, gets to be picky while everyone else has to just take whoever ends up at their border.

i also like how the plan to pull out from afghanistan was trump's but biden ended up being the fall guy. just another liberal president cleaning up the shitstains left on the floor by conservatives.

There were mistakes made but I don’t see this turning out any better on a shorter timetable. The Taliban were going to launch their offensives whenever we pulled out.

I went through the top tweet to find some idiocy

No they don’t and he wasn’t, I say this as someone who voted for Trump in 2020

So either approval ratings are faked by the media or they are genuine. Because if it’s the latter, I’m sure you won’t love Trump’s approval ratings

Biden's approval rating is still higher than Trump's ever was lmao
It's still funny because I remember throughout the Trump Presidency, Trumpfags were whining how the media rigged polls to make Trump look bad, but now since Biden is in charge they are legit all of a sudden? Like if the endgame of the News Media is to make the Democrats look great, why aren't they pumping up Biden's numbers especially if it also makes Kamala look good (who these people believe is a Media approved darling despite her being one of the most unpopular VPs).

The best part is that they used 538 as a source for Biden's approval ratings.

Yep, Trump won't even tell his cult to get vaccinated or tell them he was vaccinated because he's still throwing a tantrum about losing the election. He's a spoiled manchild, which is why so many of them like him I think
Not to piss on your bonfire, but he did both during an interview, in fact he said people opposing COVID vaccines are stupid.

Has Trump ever reached 49% approval rating?
He was asked to do a public PSA but he refused
That’s more to do with him being a sore loser and a crybaby. I remember him doing an interview with that grey haired prick from FOX, Hennessy or something, where he openly said that vaccines are good for you, everyone should take them and he doesn’t understand the people who oppose the vaccination.

A quick google search tells us that Trump’s highest approval rating was 49 percent Right where your boy Biden is at now. And no matter how you spin it, Trump has never screwed up as bad as Biden did in his handling of Afghanistan. Biden is probably going to go down as the worst president in U.S. history.

I was going by that idiot's own source for Biden's approval ratings falling which was 538 which on their graph showed Trump's peak at 45. I know there were polls, but I'm going by the criteria set by that retard.

Also cute that you Trumpfags assume that anyone who makes fun of you tards are Biden fanboys.

>Biden as the worst president in U.S. History

I'm pretty sure he'd need to start a civil war (Buchanan), make a lot of bad U.S. Policies that screw us over 100s of years later (Woodrow Wilson), or get us in Afghanistan in the first place along with creating terrible policies that have long-term consequences (Dubya) in order to reach that level.

Biden is a fuck up but that's expected of all 21st century presidents at this point since all of them suck ass. Dubya was the worst of them for causing all the shit in the middle east by going after countries not involved in 9/11 and enacting very authoritarian policies that have violated American rights, Obama for continuing that shit, Trump himself is also not a saint since he freed some of the Taliban from prison for his peace deal (those same guys happen to be causing shit in Afghan right now), and Biden well is self explanatory.

I maintain that each president has done good but the 21st century has managed to give us the worst line of presidents out there.

Disappointingly low quality bait for a True and Honest Fan.

C’mon man, give Joe a chance, he’s been president for the whole 10 minutes! I like his major proposals and overall he seems like a nice and down to earth kind of guy, none of the tardness Trump or Dubya exhumed, nor much of the holier-than-thou attitude Obama exhibited.

lol, Biden’s approval rating after this AWFUL HORRIBLE HISTORY DEFINING IDIOT MOVE by Biden is roughly the same as Trump at his peak. And right-wingers want to push this point.
You have to keep in mind, the (((mainstream media))) subtracts 50 points from a Republican's approval rating and add's 50 points to a Democrat's approval. So if we had real numbers Trump would have reached 99% at his peak and at his nadir Biden would be at -1%. Checkmate, libtards.

I may as well bite, as I am curious. How do you think Trump could have done any better? From my perspective, Afghanistan is a poisoned chalice for all western leaders who inherited the occupation. Sort of this festering band-aid which inevitably had to come off, but was going to be extremely painful politically.

And as evidenced by the remarkable collapse of the ANA, I don't think any other candidate could have changed things. It's been 20 years of propping up the Islamic Republic, and if they weren't ready now, then they were never going to be ready. Especially considering Trump got in on a mandate of withdrawing from the forever wars. No matter which party is in office, I think the facts on the ground would remain the same. There would still be this panic in Kabul. You'd still see desperate refugees clinging to any aircraft flying out. And there would still be a lack of willingness in the ANA to fight.

The seeds for the chaos in withdrawing from Afghanistan were sewn a long time ago by the mismanagement of policy by the Obama and Dubya administrations. And even if Trump had withdrawn within his term, and this sort of chaos erupted, I could not blame him.
