I recommend everyone interested in what happens to pornstars when they age out or want to quit to watch "After porn ends" it's a fantastically depressing documentary that follows the lives of several ex-pornstars who basically have their lives in shambles (Disowned by their family, unable to work real jobs, HIV, feelings of regret) The porn industry is sick and specifically targets women who are vulnerable and often were abused at a young age . They have zero feelings or empathy for you once you can't take another load to the face. Your ass hits the curb the moment you can't get people off anymore
I think the question was more rhetorical, as in, “can porn ever actually be considered ethical?” (Btw, the answer is no, not really), as opposed to asking what it literally is. “Ethical porn” is definitely a buzzword, especially now after the whole porn hub thing.
