Jim doesn't enjoy video games anymore and it's as plainly obvious as it is for DSP. Dark Souls got harder and faster and not in the way genderjim wishes, and Dynasty Warriors changed his favorite character slightly

Judging by his pathetic attempts at doing a toy show (which I'm sure he'd claim are only dogshit 'ironically') I think you're absolutely right. Jim is another Spoony: A big fish in a small pond but that pond has since become an ocean and he has nowhere near the talent or charisma to compete in this modern arena.

Not to mention he's a weird, old, bald, fat guy and now a troon.

Yahtzee is middle-aged too, but he wisely never appears on camera in the show that matters, so if Jim wants to expand and attract a new, younger audience he's going to be up against guys like Critikal, Pewdiepie, Pyrocynical, Ninja...all of whom --love them or hate them-- have infinitely more personality, look much better than Jimbo and, most important of all, aren't perpetually miserable cunts with a face like a wet weekend.

Jim better milk his current paypigs for all they're worth, because once the last of them dries up he is done.

Jim Sterling is embarrassing and despite that fact there are still strongholds online that treat his word like law. Steam forums, the lawless wasteland that they are, being one.

It's also fun to hear him talk shit about the US. We don't fucking want you, dude. Go back to the UK and get sharia'd .

I don't think he looks older than he is, he does look about 40. It's just he has the mental age of a teenager at college discovering Socialism for the first time although differently from the teenagers who are nieve Jim knows he's a grifter

So I decided to watch his activision blizzard video and setting aside that the video editing makes me motion sick to the point of a headache (null was not fucking around when he said that), his righteous indignation that he displays in his video sounds so forced and off... like a bad actor in a film. It feels like he doesn’t care about this topic and he’s only covering it because that happens to be the popular topic of the day. He also adds nothing insightful or new to the topic and instead verbatim repeats the same trite literally every other YouTuber said about the controversy four to five days ago after the fact. Actually come to think of it every other video involving his personal “grievances” with the gaming industry feels forced and disingenuous. I legitimately don’t think he cares about them and would rather talk about something else. Anyone else have these insights or am I just reading Jim Sterling here wrong?

Like other people in the thread have said, he used to care but now he doesn't. No one wants to hear about troonery or amateur wresting though, so he's stuck talking about a hobby that no longer gives him any joy, lest his remiaining audince and patraons leave for good.

I'd rather watch something like Yong or Bellular if I want vidya news because Jim will go back to the former type of videos. Just recently, Bellular covered Fortnite copying Among Us and frustrating InnerSloth while YongYea covered the WoWS mass exodus.

Gaming news channels, as in channels dedicated to just reporting on the just the news around gaming are all shit, it is because they just don't have enough to report on really, so, in an attempt to appease the algorithm, they release news daily, saying fuck all really, and stretch it out as long as they can. I don't blame them, if it becomes your job then you need to fill the time somehow right? Yet it shows the issues with being a gaming news show.

Jim, of all people, actually understood that at the very beginning and had a way out. He made sure, either deliberately or on accident, that the Jimquisition wasn't just a news show, it was an editorial. If news was shit, he could do an opinion piece. Yet, due to a lack of interest, he has a lack of opinions to give. He could dedicate a Jimquisition to look back on gaming in yesteryear. Discuss things he once liked, and how he laments the changes, or talk about something that came out that he liked, but didn't get much time to talk about, put some time into, oh IDK, journalism, and do a piece about how it came about. He could talk about larger trends he dislikes, shifts in genres that he does or does not like, he could do an entire fucking video on troon representation in video games as a whole, and yet he doesn't. Why? Because he's too disconnected. He doesn't keep up with video games any meaningful way, so he can't give opinion pieces on anything related to them.

Jimbo shows that building your image on a shock factor can only keep you afloat for so long.
Surprisingly even with all his gimmicks, flashy outfits, gags, acts, other characters, wrestling… he seems really really bland and boring.
His mix of “thank god for me” and gimmick of being a pathetic pile of garbage, has really came up to be an unlikeable combination in a long run.
