Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I ended up clicking through into r/FloridaCoronavirus because they said that the photos of the piles of bodies were there, and it's just cases, cases, cases, schools and mask mandates and one picture of someone who collapsed in a clinic. Apparently Florida is on the brink of the apocalypse and they had half a million cases in one month.
I'm not hearing any of this from even mainstream media, did these people go full doomer?
Nah, just hating DeSantis.

I got the vaccine, but for the love of God, the vaccine crowd is the most annoying group of people on planet earth. I just don’t want to get sick, I don’t need to hear how not getting the vaccine is a crime against humanity. I really don’t care.
Nonsense! You need to be reminded every day that the Jews unvaccinated are the cause of all societal ills in The Glorious Reich Our Democracy™

I got the vaccine, but I have no intention of going anywhere which requires me to show my papers. You want me to show some easily faked paper to shop/eat/drink at your place of business, no thanks and don't complain when you go out of business.

Why Testing COVID Immunity is as Important as Vaccination. Feat. Dr. Hooman Noorchashm

Antibody testing is the gold standard for determining immunity, says immunologist and physician, Dr. Hooman Norchashm. Yet, the CDC and FDA are actively deterring people from testing their immunity. Why? Dr. Noorchashm suggests that the answer to this could lie partly in the phenomena of vaccine spoilage. “It's a medicine, just like any other medicine. It's got a failure rate…, and we should accept that.” “They're worried that a substantial number of people are not going to find out that the vaccine didn't work for them.” Currently, the delta variant of COVID-19 is being used by the Government to explain the high occurrence of breakthrough infections. However, Dr. Noorchashm suggests, vaccine spoilage is a more likely explanation. While a strong believer in vaccination, Dr. Noorchashm argues that determining individual immunity rather than blanket vaccination is the ‘Achilles heel’ to overcoming COVID-19.
TLDW
The CDC and FDA claim that the jabs are so 'safe and effective' don't anyone dare test how they are actually 'safe and effective'.

I was poking around on random social media and stumbled across one person suggesting people take humic acid/fulvic acid for health.
Maybe it's just my rural background talking but that seems like this person (rabid antivaxxer btw) is saying we should forgo medicine and eat dirt.

Links to some studies or articles or summat. I dunno, I'm tired.

Black Oxygen Organics is the MLM that this person is shilling on another page. Save yer money and go eat dirt I guess.

Are black people vaccine hesitant though?
I hear about it and see numbers tossed around but I have yet to hear any actual in-person negative vaccine opinion from a black person.
This was like 8 months ago or more, but I overheard two black coworkers chatting about how the vaccine is some "weird shit, don't think I wanna take it" and the other guy agreeing. So I absolutely believe there's a lot of black people who think there's something up with it. It would do a lot of black people a favor if there's more good memes aimed at that community comparing it to the Tuskegee syphilis experiment or other shit where it's the white man using his experimental drug on the black man for his sake, especially if you can also convince blacks to take more vitamin D supplements.

Yes. 1, when historically you injected black men with syphilis for shits and giggles to see what happens that tends to erode trust in the medical industry. 2, when you spend the last 80 years telling a group of people that their goverment hates them, is racist, and is trying to kill them they tend not to trust that same goverment when they want to inject something into their bodies.

Couple that with trying to pay people to take it and offering them free food or money and people who engage in "Street smarts" tend to be suspicious.

I just want to remind you that Musk is in favor of UBI. So fuck him.
I think that UBI concept coincides with the advent of a General Intelligence A.I. which is different from what people are trying to push right now. IF we create said intelligence, then you would see a workforce of robots, and unheard of productivity where you actually see robots do the tasks we just can't get them to do on their own, or without constant human oversight today. Until then, it's not on his radar, he's mostly concerned with making it to Mars, and his rockets. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. He actually has good goals, and unlike Gates and Bezos, where one is buying up tons of US farmland because reasons, and the other is trying to sue his way into getting more money from NASA, and donating 100million dollars to the likes Van Jones, I'd say Musk is a good egg.

So can dangerous mutations arise from vaccinated people or not, assuming for argument's sake that the vast majority of the population is vaccinated?
@talk sh1t Dangerous mutations could arise in anyone, but you then need to think, who will spread those mutations more easily? It would be easier for a vaccinated person to transmit a more dangerous strain, because they are protected from symptoms, and not from the actual infection, so they feel great and go about their lives, they aren't stuck in bed. Like the chickens and Marek's disease. That's a long time horizon though, like a decade. Hopefully people wont be getting biannual boosters for the next ten years.....a guy can hope right?

60 odd cases today so chairman of the ruling party has announced, and it breaks his heart to have to do this, a hard lockdown for the entire state. Good news is that there will be no curfew for people living in rural areas. Bad news business owners were given less than 2 hours notice that the lockdown was happening, cue cafes and restaurants having to kick out their customers in the middle of lunch service.

There was a protest yesterday.

Police claim that there were 4000 demonstrators, more like 20K. Which is impressive given the cops had cordoned off the entire city, shutdown public transport and turned away tens of thousands of people trying to attend. The ones that did get through were up for a fight. It's clear that more and more people are entering the 'nothing left to lose' phase. The cops used capsicum (pepper) foam and rubber bullets, which is unheard of in Australia.

Anyway will have to hunker down for a long lockdown and as I won't be getting vaccinated it's likely I won't be allowed to work, travel or really do anything for the indefinite future. My employer has announced a vaccine mandate so I'll be out of a job before Christmas. The government has also announced that your vaccine status will be linked to your phone which will tell businesses and venues whether you've had the jab or not when you scan the QR code. Nothing says dystopian shithole better than having to disclose your private health records as a condition for buying a coffee. Today lots of media rumblings about force vaccinating children, so it looks like I'll be home schooling (unless they make that illegal as well).

In Sydney they're approaching 1000 cases a day with 2 or 3 deaths, all of them extremely old nursing home patients or fat boomers. Not a single media talking head is mentioning that giving out $5000 fines for not wearing a mask and handing out 8 month prison sentences for organising protests seems a bit overkill for a bug that has a fatality rate the same as the seasonal flu but, you know, Australia.
