TGWTG The Spoony One / Spoony / Noah Antwiler and Rachel Baker / @RaeAngel07 - The touching romance between a washed-up videogame reviewer throwing a decade-long pity party and his delusional Canuck stalker. #weaknotsick #donttellmehowtosulk

Most of what's posted in the Spoony thread when he's radio silent is discussion about past events and various spoony related speculation. It's not all 'Spoony sucks and I wouldn't donate to his patreon.' I don't see the point of locking any lolcow thread outside of breaking the forum due to ddos / alogging problems. I mean dead people still have active threads, Andrew Dobson still has an active thread.
I don't mind the thread staying up forever. Just pointing out how most Kiwi threads are similar. Besides, this is where I get Spoony news, since I don't use social media.

Warthog is an unironic member of the Dhar Mann Fam.
Ya know, I always wondered about the kind of person that was actually a Dhar Mann fan.
Warthog seems like the type if ever there was one, abysmally low self-worth but abnormally high self-esteem, struggling addict, latches onto parasocial relationships, desperate for any sort of validation no matter how shallow it may be, easily manipulated by social pressure, etc.

As to Dhar's (DHARRR!) original message, if you react to "disrespect" by being a sensitive little bitch, you are indeed a sensitive little bitch, Dhar.

Spoony did tweet about how the last time he was truly happy was before he left Arizona and complained about moving. I wonder if he still feels that way.
Of course. Moving out there for April was a genuine mistake (the kind of mistake even a normal adult might make in their lifetime) and he should've put his foot down and made her come to Arizona. It was inevitable that epiphany would hit him when all of a sudden he was alone in a big suburban house in a faraway state he had fuck-all reason to be in, and somehow I doubt Noah's feelings on it have turned around so quickly.

Yeah, it was one thing I sympathized with him on. So many of my friends move places or move in with their significant other because they think it'll strengthen their relationship, when in reality it's a big gamble. Most of them return single.

Why it took Noah a decade to move back to Arizona is beyond me

I have a theory his relationship with April was always a lost cause because she was only ever an ersatz Scarlett to him. He was still a sore sadboy over Scarlett almost to the day he met April (like, the "red dragon tore my heart out" tweets were just weeks prior) and then he was moving cross-country to live with her what, barely two years later?

The last tweet April liked before abandoning her Twitter account also strongly indicated she didn't want kids, and Spoony's never given any indication they were going to marry, not even a woeful "I was going to put a ring on her!" post-breakup tweet. It's very clear they were codependent at best.

Instead of 'lonely old cat lady' I always preferred the term 'old maid'.

Can you blame her for not wanting to spawn Spoony jr?
If Noah ( I know, impossible ) was clean, had a decent job and a working libido she would have stayed and had his babies.

I disagree, she had enough faith in him to move her to an expensive house where she wanted to live. And she was a spoony fan-girl. I think she might've had a kid with him early on. Lucky for her she didn't, cause he'd have been the ultimate deadbeat dad.

Edit: This might be one of the most speculative spoony topics.

I don't know, even with all that she seemed like child-free type. IRC Spoony didn't want kids either, so good on them for at least one right decision.

I'm glad that Ms. Babbar feels that way. There's enough Indians already.

Yep, it's why I don't understand couples who don't live together before getting married. If it's a cultural thing, okay. But in the western world there's no issue with living together for a while before you even propose. You have no idea what the person is really like in their home when you're not around.

As for why it took him a decade to move back, remember it took Miles moving out to get him out of his parents' place at 28, and moving in with April to get him to his own place, and the government and bank telling him to get the fuck out before he finally went.

The house is very close to April's family. It wasn't exactly a risky life decision for a stunted manic pixie girl in her 30s to move a short distance away. Spoony was the one who was taking a leap of faith by moving across the country away from his much-needed support structure.

Guys, there was interview with Spoony and his fat friend on some playground. Spooner was swinging and replying to questions and from what I recall there was a polish guy asking him would he ever visit Poland. Is it somewhere archived because I was looking for this vid several years ago with no avail?
I believe you're thinking of him and Benzaie being interviewed in a park in Finland while they were there for Animecon 2013. I looked for the video but it's gone now. I can't remember anything about a Polish interviewer and Spoony being on a swing though.

Part of the reason why Spoony made the move to Illinois was because it put him practically on Doug's and Brad's doorsteps, and reasonably close to Linkara - and in that respect that move did initially work out for him, as he started making appearances in their videos again after two years mostly doing his own stuff.

If he'd made smart use of the chance to start more directly collaborating with the CA team, the move could have really paid off for him. Instead, he did the complete opposite, started driving everybody away, and before he knew it, found himself fucked seven ways from Sunday.

Hey, I know what that dollar-store christmas tree punching reminds me of!

I actually shit myself when I read that. There I realized I wasn't just dealing with the usual horrifyingly egotistical Troper Tale. This person will BREAK YOUR PENCILS without a second thought. Should he meet you, without any regret, he will DESTROY your beloved pencil collection. Your Crayola, your HB, everything. That beloved pencil you had for three years? Snapped in two with no remorse. Even if you reinforce your pencils to try and stop him, he has a good friend, even better in the arts of pencil-snapping. And when he is done, you will be nothing, sobbing in a heap of pencils as broken as your dreams. And he will laugh. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
