Good eye, I just did some digging.

It turns out Lyrica and friends pushed her to audition for the Hololive V-Singer role which I believe was announced on Nov. 30, 2020. NijiEN announced their auditions on Dec. 1, 2020, and based on her tweets she is actively a fan of not only NijiEN but also the more music-minded JP singers like Melissa Kinrenka. It's possible she auditioned for them both, but competing with Namirin's numbers is a losing battle even if I think Shannon is an extremely talented singer.

Fast forward to now and she's graduating from her V-Tuber life around the time we'd expect for Wave 3, despite being a singer on YouTube for over a decade now.

If this is the case, then maybe they'll have them use the main Hololive EN channel then when a collab that has both Gen1, Gen2, and maybe with Irys; they could be the host of said collab and still have use of that channel rather than using it just for teaser/trailers or in the rare case uploading a full gen music cover (Since I still have my doubts that channel is theirs). Some people have apparently found links to say it's real, but there hasn't been anything offically said about the channel. I'm guessing it was an account made just for youtube modding and comments, I don't think the channel will see much or any real content, though you never know. Any group content not done on one of the girls channels will probably go onto the Hololive-EN channel similar to what they do with the JP talents.

Not sure if Hololive has "stolen" any one from a small company yet, MyHolo TV had something happen back on the 19th of March and an entire gen retired or was fired, which Marica/Baelz was apart of.

So it's not a 'friendship group' thing, it's specifically one person who, for whatever reason, feels hard done by. I don't know any more than you do, I'm just trying to keep the rrats steadied on the fact it's one person upset with one person.

I would feel Fuwatopia members would be the hardest hit if Ceres backstabbed them all or ghosted them etc but that isn't the case, so I feel whatever has happened is more personal than that.

We know that Lemon and Shadow unfollowed each other at one point, so there IS something there - it's just a case of how much of a nothing burger it is.

FallenShadow did narration work for LemonLeaf's debut lore/backstory so maybe a bit of a "We were in this together" mentality and didn't like being left behind.

The only one I've seen with an obvious link to Ina so far is Sana, all the new members who can speak Korean also speak Japanese and have clear links to other groups. Sana is also the only high level artist as far as I know this gen and I would say it's less nepotism and more a referral so she didn't have to go through the nightmare of hoping her application gets found in the pile and noticed, as she's definitely skilled enough to get in. Plus now with another amazing artist added to the fold, means they can make even more art/merchandise in-house, plus what ever they might add to Hololive Alternative.


There was something else my autistic brain wanted to say, but my brain is completely dead after that marathon.

I didn't used to spend as much time with the JP side of Hololive, but with the debut of Coco, it really feels like everyone has started putting in way more effort to colab and do projects together, that it was a reminder to make the most of the time they have with each other. I still hope we can get to a point where "past lives" or being part of other groups stops being as much of a road block to colabs.

So I watched that particular stream live and was tempted to clip the "good" parts while the stream was on going. But then I looked at the thread mantra: it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost, and decided against it. Didn't wanna get myself kicked from the main thread I joined the farms for.

So it seems that all of EN Gen2 have immediately been connected with previous internet denizens, but does it remain the case that they're still all anonymous when it comes to real-life persons?
