He probably had some kind of keep your nose clean agreement
I'm guessing this is due to the Vicker's restraining order, but could Ade's come up? It seems like putting out images and Ade's place of work is also using the internet to harass someone. I only ask because it would be extra funny if Ade had a hand in making him plead guilty.

Since there isn't a new arraignment in the District Court, I'd assume this is probably under the same case number as the original case, and is simply reopening the original case. He probably had some kind of keep your nose clean agreement but no, the Gunt just couldn't stop fucking with Faith. What an absolute white trash Gunt idiot.
You know what you just reminded me, I think Fai Fai was trying to give us a heads up.

You have 24 hours to find something else feature worthy. @ me in the thread, quote the feature.

The bar is set right now at: "being prosecuted for unlawful pornography".
Fine. Time to search this dungheap for something that satisfies Papa Null enough to lose sight of his Cowfu.

If someone has any suggestions, I would be thankful.

A question for the lawfags. Is the fact that the state decided to prosecute this again an indication that they feel any kind of confidence about getting a conviction?

From what I remember last time there is not much of a chance of Ralph getting actual jail time for this, right? It's mostly fines and bullshit like that, no?
Not a lawfag, but it's apparently a class 1 misdemeanor according to this
https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title18.2/chapter8/section18.2-386.2/

Which means up to 1 year of jail and/or a $2500 fine.

Well ladies and guntlemen, I bring great news. Despite Ralph claiming there were "no special circumstances" listed on page 1 of like 3 of the dispensation paperwork, and despite claiming the case wasn't nolle prosequi'd but rather was dismissed outright, I can now confirm to you lovely people that indieed, Ethan Ralph's charges for revenge porn for releasing the sex tape of Faith have been reinstated. His arraignment was held 13 August 2021, his next court date is 10 September.

LOL. He's even losing court cases in the past.

Any chance this ends up in front of a jury?
It would be so easy to display him as a psychopath with an extreme hatred for women.
- Leading figure in the "harassment campaign against women" that is Gamergate
- A violent felon who is still on probation for trying to punch a female cop
- Recently lost a lawsuit because he publicly smeared his ex and tried to get her fired

Chances of a prosecution being successful increase significantly when the victim is willing to testify, and in this case establishing non-consent for release of the materials is kind of important.

If I had to guess, Faith wouldn't testify that she did not give Ralph permission to leak the tape, chances are she said she wouldn't testify in general (as part of the likely deal with Ralph), which puts the prosecutor in a position where they have to prove Faith didn't give permission without the victim saying so.

Keep in mind the DA probably just wants Ralph to plea out, and without Faith's testimony, the DA doesn't have much leverage to force Ralph's hand. With Faith's testimony, the DA has leverage.

If you want to delve into the breadtube side of things the Primecayes shitshow might qualify. It involves discord, a no effort troon, and a black girl who claims she has 8 different mental illnesses setting up a brotha as a sex pest to try and deplatform him, only to have it all fall apart nearly immediately. It's a complicated situation though.

Nothing will likely come of this, revenge pornography is still incredibly hard to prove, but it is telling that the prosecution has resumed the prosecuting of the charge. Maybe they have new testimony from Faith or something, I'm not sure. But for some reason or another they've decided that the charge is worth bringing.

God, we can only hope that Ethan and Chris will share a cell. Optimistic as hell, but I don't think I would ever stop laughing if that happened.
Virginia commonwealth's attorneys take three kinds of cases: cases they are sure they can win, cases that will generate positive publicity, and cases that punish their political opponents. Ethan Ralph could plausibly fall into any or all of those categories.

Unfortunately (for us), about 95% of criminal charges end in a plea bargain.
