General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I like how we entering a digital age where the paper format of things (newspapers, magazines, books) is slowly being phased out, yet their starting a magazine on "virtual digital models". Just tickles me just right

Also I've noticed we have a fair few new faces in this thread of late, I'm assuming it because people wanting to know more about the EN 2 girls. Well enjoy your stay lads.

Thirstposting is when some posts like a drooling, cooming idiot.

Imagine Kiara or Ollie posting here while in character, they would be banned immediately :story:

I saw something interesting on /vt/

Interesting story and quite believable, content creator doubting his/her abilities is normal and probably affects a significant % of vtubers as well. But I'm surprised that people think it's Pippa, as in my opinion she seems quite positive on her both known accounts, has plans and so on. I would suspect other Phase-Connect members first, if any at all.

So KarenDice changed her hair for the 5th time this year. It looks good, but damn if I don't recognize the look of a worn out workaholic when I see one (Can't call her an alcoholic yet, they go to meetings). She'd have to pay extra for those bags on a flight. I wish she understood how important it is to actually get proper sleep.

As an insomniac, I feel that pain. I skirt the edge of sanity as it is. I wonder how much her streaming mood would improve if she started sleeping on a more regular basis?

There's just something that doesn't make sense about it that make it great. It's like how Kanata brought a magazine off Amazon because it have her Oshi Gakki on the cover. If Suisei (or Co- well Kson) on this magazine, I sure I'll get that urge to get my hand on it. Kinda like a merch.

I heard she exposed her skin several times, if so we can say goodbye to the archive. Arms and feet are haram in the Hololive emirate.
She had gloves the hilarious part where the jokes about rubbers being broken by the dozens and she screaming when the first watermelons just fucking died first try
Fuckin hilarious lmao I really like these kinds of stream from time to time
Only took a year after that dreadful Gacha collab with Polka for her to become a whale

Yikes. Didn't she stream 12+ hours on a game last week? That sounds absolutely exhausting.

Her arms were visible multiple times, as well as her ankles (along with the fuzziest slippers I've ever seen), but I really doubt she cares at this point.
There was a very reflective sticker on the watermelon that was risky as hell though; I wouldn't be surprised if some autist managed to pull a reflection off of it.

I don't know what streams you have been watching but she has been in good mood in all her streams at least since she came from her 4 day nagasaki trip like 3 weeks ago.

I hope that's true! I haven't been able to track everyone recently as much as I'd like (does anyone feel like we just reached a tipping point for following the people we want to? Like it just became...impossible to pull off now?), but I'm glad she appears to be doing better recently.

I'm more worried about the long-term effects. She has fallen asleep on stream multiple times in the past, and while I don't care about that, it can be concerning. In general, she drives herself way harder than just about any other Hololiver, and that '4 hours of sleep a night, if lucky' thing catches up to you. Lack of sleep over time literally shortens your overall lifespan (science!). I have nothing but respect for her drive, talent and results, but I don't want her to suffer for it, that's all.

Lyrica is Channeling the EN energy. The game kept freezing at the start, Risu is having internet issues and now Lyrica is offline due to a power outage. Who is autistic enough to map Canadian power outages at 11am EST to find her neighbourhood.
Apparently there are over 6000 power outages in Canada right now, let alone trying to find historical data. If anyone's autistic enough to even try: good luck!

found this on the non-binary thread. This person should bring up Flare to reinforce the argument.
I hadn't actually looked at the sub counts for the new gen until this post. I'm not shocked that most of them are over 200k already, nor that Sana is lagging behind, but I am actually a little shocked to see Sana that far behind (162k, next lowest is 218k).
Of course I'm not ascribing it to racism (again, she's gyaru not black).
Hopefully she's more resilient than Kiara so she doesn't numberfag and impostor-syndrome her way into mediocrity. As long as she keeps her head up, she might be my "underdog to root for" this gen.
Sub numbers at this point in the game say more about the character design than the streamer's entertainment value anyway. Sana, don't be a wallflower in collabs, contribute a lot, and the viewers will see your value.

Look like Boyfriend of Mumei and Ceres did hit some nerve on some JP anon beta.
It will be interesting if Holo Council was experiment on recruiting girls that have stable relationship IRL and see how much they can grow.
It will also funnier to see how fast they would grow and how much akasupa they would get if they stream after their roommates tweet something like “just break up with BF and feel like shit”.

Hire me as your market analysis Cover in my honor with kiwi denizens as my witness I pledge that I will produce top tier talents and no troons allow for your branch.
I'd think it's generally a safe bet that they have a boyfriend/husband unless there's an actual reason to believe otherwise (e.g. crippling social issues).
Remember, everything you like about your VTuber: she's funny, she's a sweetheart, she's hardworking, whatever -- someone in her real life will have recognized these qualities too.

Edit: I spoke about creative stream ideas the other day, so it'd be a shame not to mention that Rosemi is doing GeoGuessr shortly. Ok, maybe it's not that creative, but anything that's not too overdone piques my interest.
Unfortunately it's at the same time as the TTRPG from HoloEN so I'm gonna have to try to pay attention to two streams / six voices at once.

She's also back in America right now too, so jet lag is most likely a major part of it. She's at home with family, which is why her streaming is so low key this week. Working off her scuffed laptop only.

Really, you can divide Calli's career into a Pre and Post quitting JET teaching. Most of the really shitty stuff you describe was when she was still teaching and on a really rigid schedule. Since then.....well, she's still a workaholic. But she's taking much better care of herself.

Sad news. Big PP is having problems with her recovery and maybe taking more time off.
That’s really sad, the girl is one of my favorites. Hope this is just a bump in the road and she recovers quickly.
Considering she just had a (Presumably) preventative double mastectomy, I seriously hope she takes care of herself. Beyond the obvious physical complications that come after, I understand the mental hit can be pretty intense for women as well. Here's hoping she can pull out of this okay.

Well Mori is my oshi so i am always gonna watch her and then choose to watch someone else when she isn't streaming.

And i would not be so worried, that falling a sleep on stream was back when she still was doing 3 jobs at ones which was nearly a year ago.
She is doing fine nowadays and actually sleeps 8 hours most of time.
