I think (don't quote me on this) that one or the other could, but what would be the point of someone who isn't paying taxes anyway doing that? Père Vickers should claim them both, since he's the one actually supporting both of them at this point.

The longest values in the password field are 32 bytes wide. That said, they're not hex digits, but basically the full ASCII spectrum including control characters, so not MD5 like I'd assumed earlier, Could be SHA256 I guess?
