General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Disappointed though I am about the lack of TTRPG, I really did like that stream. The casual chats and then Gartic was really good. I kind of wish they would just have random streams every now and again like that where they just talk about recent happenings and what's on their minds and such.

Calli doesn't read this board, probably, but just in case, every GM has those nights that just fall apart for reasons outside our control. Don't worry about it.

Incidentally and only tangentially related, this was one of the recommends in the end card of the stream. Don't think it was linked here before, but it is quite well done and needs more views:

Okay so take all this with a grain of salt, but there have been rumblings that absolutely zero people who applied for the NijiEN Wave 3 ghost girl have been contacted or even had their audition viewed by scouts.

This means one of two things: The ghost girl was scrapped entirely, or the ghost girl is occupied by someone Nijisanji really wanted and managed to get a hold of.

Given the theming of Wave 3 and probable high volume of applicants, I struggle to believe they put the ghost girl on the application form with no intent to release her, which would imply that the ghost girl MAY have been taken by someone before auditions even closed.

If all this is true, which it may very well not be, it would make the timeline of Hana Flores' activity as a V-Tuber line up much better with her being a Niji recruit. Whatever the case may be, the ghost girl is suddenly really interesting to me.

I haven't bothered to look at the Niji Audition Google Form, but you have to choose at the start which character to apply for? I kinda assumed it would be like Natori Sana's story where they'd ask you which character you want to be once you get to the 2nd stage of interviews.

Anywho, Hana is likely but it could also be someone who was hired at the same time as Lazu and Obsydian considering this is the first 4 man Wave for EN.

Edit: Sigh, how much is Calli going to beat herself up about this. She did prep work, just can't stop the curse when you're using random equipment away from home, especially when you have so many different programs going at once.

Also: They did a great job salvaging the stream, though they've always been good at adjusting things to still make a entertaining stream.

Calli(and Kiara) are the types to be incredibly hard on themselves if something goes wrong or if a mistake is made, even if they had nothing to do with it. I don’t know if it has to do with their past history, Calli’s workaholic nature, Kiara’s self-pressure, but tend to take things the hardest out of the five when the unexpected happens.

Well looks like Watchmojo are running out of tier lists, they moved on to making one for top 10 Holos now. I think thats incredibly subjective, they are all good in their own right and everyone has their own oshis now. Yes some are more popular and stand out more but if they make you laugh and you get a sense of enjoyment out of them, that's all that matters.

I think the fact that it’s so subjective is why they made it, as they’ll get plenty of views and arguments in the comments on who should be where.

Looking at this makes me realise it will all eventually come to an end one day. Cherish the memories we make along the way boys because we don't know when it will come to an end.

You might be right, and this is assuming what I brought up was based in any semblance of reality, but given people are talking about scouts not even viewing their audition, it implies to me that the ghost girl would have been chosen before the deadline closed.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to allow people to audition for a character they'd never get, unless the audition WAS open if the person they wanted for her (possibly Hana) refused their offer. Nijisanji have gone to lengths to grab specific people in the past, and Hana being a professionally trained singer who displayed good streaming competence may very well be someone they contacted when auditions opened.
 
I think HoloEN should play cards against humanity collab so we can see how their sense of humor work.

WatchMojo is to Top Ten lists what The Verge is to PC builds or Rolling Stone is to any opinion on music. Anything they put out is instantly ill-informed trash and should be ignored as such. I doubt their staff spent more than 20 minutes 'researching' these 'Hololive VTuber' people before just pulling names out of a hat. I'm convinced they purposely put out crap opinions to drive traffic solely for argument's sake.
