Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The largest demographic of military enlistees are poor, uneducated people from either rural areas or impoverished inner cities. Basically, poor rednecks and poor ghetto thugs with GEDs find common ground and sign up to shoot poor brown people overseas to line the pockets of the Small Hat Tribe.

That's the horrible thing - people suffering from Alzheimer's can live for years because they have no other degenerative conditions. Imagine 10, 15, 20 or more years of living without really being there - I figure it must be like being in Hell.

Based on personal family experience, abt 5 to 8 years. They tend to waste away in the process, forgetting then remembering, then get a small Jolt of energy and become cognizant in a sort of living backward in time before the end unless they get something like pneumonia that wipes them out.

This is quite off the mark. GEDs are relatively rare among US service members and last I knew the economic profile of enlistees on their first enlistment was overwhelmingly middle class. The simplest reality is, most people who enlist did so because the military is somehow tied to their family through tradition, vet relatives, or active relatives.
That well is drying up according to the data, hence the millions spent on focusing towards urban demographics to try to find a new pool of people to grind down.

So i'm a little confused with the recent leaks. Are they saying troops were made to clean around the area of a known place where a suicide bomber might strike, or are the two situation separate things? Cause if they had troops cleaning instead of doing security work during a immanent threat, than that's fucking pure incompetence.

This is the sort of thing that destroys confidence in and respect for the upper echelons - I wouldn't call them leaders. All they know how to do is give orders. Bet they don't run interference for their troops, just see them as tools to help get that next promotion or nice assignment. A LEADER would have just left the shit there for the Taliban. Then these people wonder why re-enlistment rates are so low, or it takes a shitload of money to get someone to re-enlist.

just like we can no longer expect competence from this President, we can no longer expect competence from military commanders, mid-level and above. ALL political now. ALL "careerism". Would you trust YOUR loved ones to such "leadership"? I sure wouldn't, not without asking my loved one what they wanted to get out of their time in service, and seeing if they can get the same result without becoming cannon fodder for the uncaring.
