Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Maybe I'm starting to wrap my tinfoil hat too tightly, but could it be that Biden and his administration think that by leaving all those Americans to die, it'll keep the truth from coming out? Right now, Biden can still attempt to deny the fate he left them to, because we're barely getting any news from on the ground.

Being told your government fucked up is one thing. Listening to a woman give interviews about her escape from Kabul after her own country abandoned her to die? That's going to stick with people. Firsthand accounts from on the ground would be awful for the establishment. Lots of eyeballs for news channels and articles, but not so good for those in power right now.

Depends on the long game

Newsome's a liability in so many ways and then some. There are a LOT of elites who are pissy as fuck that Newsome and his ilk have made California hell on Earth and have threatened to leave the state, if not already fucking left.

Getting rid of Newsome in a recall election and getting a Republican installed solves these problems:

1. Elder takes over and undoes a lot of the shit that is causing a Calexit and fix shit

2. The Democrats then can avoid taking responsibility for these changes and when a Dem governor eventually gets elected, then they can reverse course and restore the things that turned out to be popular with their base

It makes zero sense for them to stop volunteers with the means of getting these people out, especially those who are US citizens and our allies. This administration is destroying itself. The question really is, who will step up to fill the vacuum sleepy Joe is creating? I am confident Trump will run in 2024. But there will be others champing at the bit. If these tweets from Emily Miller are accurate there are going to be people with some profound stories that will further damage sleepy Joe and the administration/Dems.
