Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Oh yeah prices are definitely rising. It's been hard for me to find peanut butter specifically.

Yay inflation.

YMMV and this is coming from a Brit, so it may not be the case in America.

However, I have noticed some products aren't as 'strong' as they used to be, as if they were being watered down. Orange and Apple juice (which Tesco, Aldi and Morrisons seem to be struggling to keep in stock) have all got a very mild taste vs 4 months ago. When i find a product i like, i stick to it. Tesco OJ, Aldi Apple juice and milk, for example.

Another example is washing up liquid, even the 'double-strength' stuff, is very, very watery compared to normal.

I don't know if it's just me, a coincidence or if the companies are trying to keep up with shortages/inflation by watering down their products.

If they are, this could be another way to 'raise' prices while not raising prices, almost like shrinkflation but diluteflation.

US here, I've noticed this too. Shits gotten so weak I'm actually making my own food and drinking way more water so good for me in the long run I guess.
I may need to look into this myself to corroborate. If true, this is some horridly dystopian shit.

Ronny is MAD ONLINE. What an absolute legend, I wish I was in his district so I could vote for him.

Also if you need a whitepill, look at those ratios

Unlike glowfag Crenshaw, this guy gets to complain about the president.

EDIT: finally had a reason to post that wasn't just "look I'm doing the Avatar meme too"

Even outside of this context, it's retarded that he keeps bringing up Beau anyway. Beau had a pretty standard career for a politician's son and a military lawyer. He never saw any combat, and it was obvious from the onset that he was just joining as a political check in the box. Personally, I've always thought it was absolutely retarded that such soft skill and technical jobs were part of the standard military structure anyway.

You have two soldiers of the same rank and time in service.

Soldier A: 11B/68W/19D
  • Regularly in the field and away from home
  • High probability of death or serious injury
  • Slow promotions
  • Can expect zero creature comforts
  • Much more demanding training
  • Will have health problems earlier in life compared to the general population
  • High stress
  • Long work hours in garrison
Solder B: 92G/91C/ETC
  • Seldom in the field and only for short periods of time
  • More likely to die in a traffic accident
  • Will promote fast
  • Even deployments will at least be somewhat comfortable
  • After basic will basically do zero difficult training
  • No substantial health risks
  • Very low stress
  • Regular work hours in garrison
Both of these types of soldiers get paid the same and have the same level of authority, and will even be recognized the same by the general public. You can not run a functional military like this, because this kills morale and is ultimately a waste of resources. Traditional armies typically used either slaves or hirelings for dumb non-combat work, and employed technical personnel on temporary contracts and only when they were needed.

My running hypothesis, when the polling firms saw the bottom drop out they straight up stopped reporting.

I guess the logic being that if we don’t know how many people disapprove of him, it’ll be easier to get us to start viewing him favorably? Is this basically an attempt to make the majority think that it’s in the minority?

Not just you, I've noticed it a lot too. I drink a lot of milk (fuck off), always 2%, and have noticed it getting thinner and thinner lately close to skim, even though it's the same brand - price has went up over $1 per gallon though. Same with apple juice, even the not from concentrate stuff, price increase but tastes different. Shit is even getting changed in stuff like pet food, I buy the same dry dog food for my large dogs that I always have and recently it's been affecting their digestive health so I had to stop using that brand - checked the ingredients list and they're using a lot more useless scrap type shit like corn than they used to and a lot less meat or premium vegetables (dogs really can't process corn well). I'm sure that on some level a lot of these issues are just companies trying scummy ways to recoup profits they lost during coofmania but at the same time it's very across the board and includes a lot of products that really shouldn't have been so affected in such a way.

They added 1 single poll that didn't impact the average. Now, why they're averaging in stuff from weeks ago?? Not sure if that's their normal.

Also, no idea what the "adjusted" means that keeps him dead even.
Actually averaging older polls is normal operation for aggregates like 538, like a queue they keep the older numbers until something newer comes along to kick the oldest poll out. What defines these groups are how they average those old polls and when they choose to finally remove them from their models.

Re: adjusting, it's just the parameter they apply to try and remove bias from the polling firm, which in 538's case is trying to cover for the fact all these polling firms are push polling for Dems these days (thus dead even adjusted values).

It's been fun watching these approval polls over the past couple of months because they've gone from likely voter to registered voter models and now in some cases "adult" models which is a huge sign Biden's numbers are far worse than publically reported. Pretty much take that approval rating, lower it by 5-10%, and that's where he's currently at.
