I wanted to buy his book. Recently I have read a lot of science fiction and wanted to compare his most recent book to a most recent book by another author.

Problem is, his books are prohibitively expensive for what they give. Where I live I need to pay over 10 eurobucks for his book. A premiere of an established sci-fi author recently costed me six. I don't have issues with money, but it is too expensive.

Now, being sensible person who has trouble selling at all, one could think that if people do not buy - lower the cost. But... well, that does not happen. Now I understand publisher has a lot to say when making marketing deals, but I believe the author still puts up his preferred price. And... well, not that many people bough it. I would get it if it were five bucks.

Unrelated, but reading how his poorly structured books seem to be somehow published, it actually gives me a confidence in putting my own short stories online. If his terrible, politically charged writing somehow gets reads... I might as well. Not gonna ask momey for them, though.

Those planning to do reviews of Pat's books, I wish you luck. The OnA forums has around 1000 members who enjoy mocking him and nobody has ever made it to the end of one of his books, even as a bit.
