Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The President of Chad I believe recently went down fighting. And I believe the King of Jordan not too long ago went up on a fighter jet or maybe that was a photo op (pretty good one if it was).

Back in 20...15? 2014? a Jordanian pilot had engine trouble over ISIS territory in western Iraq, and had to bail. SAR couldn't get to him, so he was a featured contestant on Is The Infidel Fireproof?. ISIS, being what they are, and Twitter, being what it is, means the video went public. The head of their Air Force gave a very "Now we're gonna come and bomb the fuck out of you for that," speech and flew in the ops. Which was an extremely gutsy thing to do, considering.

"But they were warned 19 times!"

Sending in drone strikes from the ivory tower is one thing, but flying the plane and bombing them yourself for no other reason than sheer anger is one hell of a re-election campaign

For people who don't follow my posting, I lean mildly left. I try to give credit when it's due, no matter which party is being discussed.

Taking that into account, FUCK Joe Biden. What a completely worthless piece of shit. He would be borderline traitorous for his callous disregard of American and allied lives if I wasn't 99.9% sure he's senile as fuck and showing all the symptoms of being mentally gone. Coming out defiantly after your completely botched operation cost American lives, stranded American citizens, embarrassed us globally, and put a death sentence on Afghan allies is absolutely unacceptable.

I've always disliked Joe Biden, but before he was just a running political joke. Crazy Uncle Joe, saying dumb shit, acting weird and being a typical Washington swamp creature. After Afghanistan, no one should be laughing. Leaving him in the big chair is a complete disgrace and, since either he's being allowed to bumblefuck important things up or his underlings are too incompetent to work around his mush-brain, he's a danger to American security.

Congrats Joe. Your legacy went from mostly harmless goofball to demented monster.
If you think that Joe Biden was ever mostly harmless, then you haven't been paying attention. Here's a short list of Joe's accomplishments:
1 - The USA Patriot Act. It was 90% based on a surveillance bill "he" wrote and introduced right before the OKC bombing. He has publicly taken credit for writing the Patriot Act.
2 - The student debt crisis. Biden is responsible for the bill which increased federally backed loans for college which exploded the price of tuition, and for the provision which made discharging student loan debt via bankruptcy impossible. Biden is essentially a creature of the banks and credit companies.
3 - The GWoT. Biden was instrumental in whipping the Democratic vote for the AUMF and the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. It could have happened without him, but without his efforts in making as many people as possible culpable for the invasions, the support for nation building may not have been there.
4 - The War on drugs. 94 crime bill. Nuff said. Also Joe Biden is the guy who killed the US rave scene by charging promoters using crack house laws, blaming party promoters for the drugs people did at parties, despite the presence of security. He's an authoritarian piece of shit who will bend and break the law however he wants to punish people.
5 - Total fucking perv. Years of getting handsy with women and girls. Would request female Secret Service for his detail and then walk around naked in front of them.

That's just what I can remember off the top of my head. I know there's more with credit card debt at the very least. He's a piece of shit, and all of this is before he was even VP.

Maybe they have high res video of Hunter spitroasting a boy or with two 8 year old girls.

"Of course it's wrong and its bad but we can't let the American people lose faith in our institutions... Jill, where's my check, I don't work for free"
I said in a previous comment that they have (one of) Hunter's laptop(s) as a tongue-in-cheek plot twist.

Now I'm not sure it's a joke anymore.

When to take Social Security is a decision I've been weighing an awful lot lately. I technically hit full retirement age (66, 2 months for me) before the first of the year. I had planned on not taking it until I reached 70 in 2025 because there is a decent incentive benefit-wise (about $900 a month more) if I wait until then. This, along with the way shit is going right now in clown world? Get my hands on it ASAP before it's gone or I'm gone due to some new Coof strain that kills me instantly.

They NEVER should have allowed Congress to appropriate Social Security into the general fund. Congress has just pissed it all away as they do with all money. I honestly don't know what it will mean to you younger folks when it dries up, but being that I've paid into it over 50 years (with no choice to privatize or anything else), I damn sure want to see some return on that money.

Growing up in the 90s, I was repeatedly told by teachers and older family not to plan on getting social security. I took that to heart. Really sucks I'll never see a dime of what I "paid into" but oh yeah, taxation is fucking theft.

I'd file at full retirement age if I was you. Personally, filed at 62 due to pension and health issues. Glad I did.

Am sure the problem with SS will be fixed. Increase the tax rate and lift the ceiling on how much income is subject to SS taxes.

It should be illegal to pull funds from social security. That's a retirement fund for the people, by the people.

The last time such a thing happened in the Anglosphere, the House of Plantagenet fell to the usurper at Bosworth Field.
Charles I fought against Parliament in the Great Rebellion. James II and William of Orange were both present at the Battle of the Boyne, and Bonnie Prince Charlie led the '45. Also George Washington led troops while in office to put down the Whiskey Rebellion.
George II was in the battle of dettingen.
I didn't know that. Thanks.
