Hate crimes rose dramatically against Black and Asian Americans in the tri-state area last year, according to a Team 12 analysis of new FBI data. (Archive: https://archive.md/wsCG0 ) The analysis, by Kane In Your Corner, found crimes targeting Black and Asian Americans increased sharply, even as overall hate crimes in the tri-state area declined.

In the space of a few days in March, New York City was rocked by video of two disturbing hate crimes. An Asian-American man was attacked on a New York City Subway, punched repeatedly and choked unconscious, while in Midtown, a 65-year-old Asian American woman was knocked to the ground and stomped.

They weren’t isolated incidents.

FBI Hate Crimes Data, released Monday, shows that along with the coronavirus last year came a surge in hate crimes targeting Asian Americans. In New York, the increase was a staggering 400%. New Jersey saw a 157% increase. While the raw numbers are low – 30 in New York, 18 in New Jersey – those increases dwarfed the 70% increase nationwide.

And last summer, as protesters were taking to the streets to make the case that Black Lives Matter, hate crimes targeting Black Americans were also on the rise. Nationwide, there was a 40% increase in anti-Black hate crimes. In the tri-state area, anti-Black hate crimes rose 4% in New Jersey, climbed 41% in New York, and skyrocketed 86% in Connecticut. Crimes included an incident News 12 covered last summer, in which a homeowner in Chappaqua discovered a noose painted outside her home.

There was some good news to be found in the numbers, including a sharp decline in crimes motivated by antisemitism. Hate crimes against Jewish targets dropped 45% in New York and 62% in New Jersey, the data shows. In Connecticut, they increased by 10%, but raw numbers were exceptionally low to start with. The 10% increase represented an increase of only one incident, from 10 to 11.

Overall, Kane In Your Corner found hate crimes were down about 20% in the tristate area. That’s a lot better than the United States as a whole, which saw a 6% increase. Hate crimes in New York declined 24%, with cases dropping from 612 to 463. New Jersey experienced a 19% decline, with cases decreasing from 482 to 389. Connecticut saw a 33% increase, with total hate crimes increasing from 76 to 101.

Asians really are that stupid, that they seem to go along with this narrative. They certainly seem to keep voting Dem.
It's the rootless 2-3rd gens who can't speak their home language and have virtually no ties to the culture. They're thoroughly Americanized but instead of embracing their local culture or this country, want to be 'exotic' and resent an existence that's not unlike the attitude of hapas but with crt. They're the self-hating whites that bring dishonor to the famiry. They're really a fucking scourge though, easily manipulated like the kids of Cubans who think communism is good actually, and work against the efforts of those who came before them.

The Korean cult president wasn't from being woke, it's a complicated culmination of a corporate oligarchy and low info voters who thought she could bring back the brutal but profitable regime of her father. The current president is absolutely a chinese shill and deeply hated, but that's something we can all relate to now.

lol at that fucking paint drip they called a noose drawing.

That's. That's fucking...That's tar filling a crack in the goddamn road. That's basic road maintenance they do to stretch out between pavings.

Anyone who looks at this and sees "hate crime" deserves to be kicked in the teeth to learnwhat an acutal CRIME is. And anybody who takes the report and doesn't point out that it's road maintenance gets the second kick to the teeth.

I can think of exactly one specific area in the tri-state area where attacks on asians are done the most, and the author isn't going to like the demographic that the data points towards.

Welcome to the fresh hell that is "hate crime" logic. Anything that is perceived as hateful therefore is because it is the feelings of groups that is being defended, not rights. You don't have to prove anything and intent doesn't matter. A statement that "I was fearful" is sufficient.

Well it's mostly blacks attacking asians. People attacking blacks, well, also blacks. Unless you're counting Karen encounters, which I'm sure the statistic place does to shore up the numbers against whites.

I’m always sceptical when ‘studies’ quote percentages rather than raw numbers. And let’s not forget that a ‘hate crime’ is literally up for interpretation.
For instance, that gang of blacks that kidnapped and assaulted the intellectually disabled white guy while calling him anti-white racial slurs weren’t charged with ‘hate crimes’.
Biden’s path to 2A dissolution is a proposal to strip gun owners of their rights if they are involved in a hate crime. Expect to see a much greater emphasis on ‘hate crimes’ in media and academia to pave the way for this. But don’t expect the legal definition of a ‘hate crime’ to be much more than ‘I know it when I see it’.

One of the great weaknesses of the US justice system that has been revealed over the last few years is the political appointment of Judges and DA’s. Many of these have it within their power to decline to prosecute for political reasons, as we saw in Portland. So when you get a complicit legal system that is declining to prosecute and declining to find guilty based on the accused’s skin color and political affiliation, the rule of law begins to break down.

It’ll be the exact same thing with ‘hate crimes’. The armed black man attacking a white person without provocation will not be charged as a ‘hate crime’. A white person who calls the cops to report that a ‘black man’ is breaking into their home will be. We saw the seeds of this when Zimmerman was accused of ‘racial profiling’ and ‘racial bias’ during his trial because he identified Trayvon as black, among other things, when asked to do so by the 911 operator.

Funny how an armed and threatening, trespassing black guy wearing a BLM shirt being shot by a white guy would be a ‘hate crime’. But a Crip shooting a Blood for wearing the wrong color at a rap concert would not be a ‘hate crime’…

Karen encounters, which are basically wine aunts flipping out on anybody that looks at them the wrong way (regardless of race) being equated to intimidation, violence and/or murder based on your race/religion is peak Clown World.
Wasn't the FBI telling local police departments to go out and find more hate crimes?
If you can't find them, just make them up.

I hate to say it but hate crimes against Asians happen in urban areas tremendously. The StopAsianHate hashtag was trending after that tragic Atlanta spa shooting. (I believe it started some time during the whole COVID lockdowns, or something similar.)

Then, when more and more Asians were found in random, isolated incidents of violence, the hashtag died down. Where did those attacks happen? Urban cities. Obviously, neither the media nor the FBI care about hate crimes, rather to push an agenda and generate outrage.

I would like to know who attacked who and why and see it handled fairly. Picking and choosing what consists as a hate crime and why only decriminalizes the action and allows more to happen. I would LOVE to see Asians protest against racial discrimination and demand change.

Nobody deserves to be targeted for their skin color or heritage.

They sort of did, but because it was a Democrat gayop from the beginning and spearheaded by rootless 2nd gen and beyond Asians steeped in woke culture it just ended up being a more pathetic version of BLM that sputtered out when people started noticing who was behind the #AsianHate.

"I hate you so much, that I want to kill you." ~Literally every murder case ever.
And for your record, blacks and asians being killed is the result of blacks. They hate their own and they hate asians because they happen to have a higher IQ than them.
Now what about those "noble" and "bright" pocs that want to kill babies just because they have very light skin? Shouldn't that be a hate crime?
