I disagree. America today is the tech industry, it is Apple and Amazon and Microsoft. It is tech, it is cheap labour, it is maximum profits, regardless of human cost. You guys don't have paid holidays, or sick pay. The corporations are America. Take them away, or cripple them, and they aren't coming back and neither is the country.
When Coal Mining was ceased in Britain, it crippled the North of England and Wales, which were just massive coal mines. Today, two generations later, those old mining towns are still fucked. They're inhabited by poor, defeated, working-class families. The areas are so poor, that even the immigrants avoid the areas like a plague.
Once an industry goes, it never comes back and neither does the economic prosperity of those areas. It's why Thatcher is the most hated politician in history in the Norff of England, and why many, many areas held massive celebrations when she died.
America has 3 main industries; Silicone Valley/hollywood - tech and entertainment, Military and agriculture. China could cripple your tech, and hollywood has already sold out to the chinks. Your military is in tatters with the woke shit and you've just pulled out of your biggest money-making war since WW2, leaving only agriculture.
Not only that. If the tech industry in America collapses due to high costs/low profit. Do you think Apple et al would sit around in their own piss, crying about yesteryear? Fuck no. They would relocate in a (bleeding) heartbeat.
