The Gura x Shion ship is currently pretty popular but in a few hours the OG ship AquShio is holding a 3D Live plus a big announcement

These two hold a special place in my heart. The great Minecraft Neighbor War was one of the first videos which dragged me into the rabbit hole at the end of 2019. If you didn't watch it yet please do, classic anime can't compete with this greatness.

Well, at this point it's obvious enough that Lyrica will reincarnate, and with this much fanfare surrounding her graduation, probably into nothing less than Nijisanji.

Have to say, her graduation is probably the biggest event I every seen from an indie. She isn't the largest SEAs indie for nothing huh.

No idea. I don't watch the entire stream. Just watched it for a little bit.
At least she can drive a real car IRL. I'm expecting she can drive decently at relatively low speed in a sim.

So the mv for IRyS's song diorama doesn't have english subs. Now, I can get over an english vsinger singing an original song entirely in japanese, but this just seems like not even bothering to do the bare minimum - she's part of the english branch of talents for fuck's sake. Just odd to see this while jp talents like Watame consistently release original songs with full eng subs. Or this is just revenge for Red being entirely in english with no japanese subtitles. Of course, they could always simply add them later, like what happened with Unison.

Still, maybe she will be able to learn how to drift down Mt. Akina with eurobeat blaring.

She really was massive. Not in terms of raw numbers, but she was an inspiration to SEA V-Tubers everywhere and that includes the ones who made it big like HoloID.

I really hope that, if she has gone to Nijisanji, it turns out to be the correct path for her career. There's a lot of financial backing and free publicity that comes with signing onto a company, but the way Indies and SEA V-Tubers saw Lyrica is something she'll never be able to replicate even if it's the same person under the character.

It would, however, mean we are one step closer to a Part 2 of the most kino collab ever (L4D with Elira, Pomu, Lyrica, and Pikamee).

Just catching up on the latest Council Meeting VOD. Looks like Sana gets shit on yet again. Her model broke and she was cardboard again. I haven't watched her solo stuff much, does she have these issues then or is it only during collabs?

Props to her if she's going corpo.

Used to check in on her from time to time and always thought she was good and talented enough for Hololive (Moona's previous open invite to join HoloID notwithstanding). Kinda wrote her off a bit when it looked like she's not growing her brand anymore and just settling for her niche Filipino audience.

It says a lot about the financial sustainability of indie vtubing that a 100k-subbed indie is deciding to go corpo after all. Lyrica built herself an active and loving niche following but it didn't translate to a lot of SC-earnings. Hope she fares better wherever she lands - which is pretty likely Nijisanji at this point.
