Inactive Byuu / byuu_nyan / setsunakun0 / Near / David Ginder - "Non-binary" furry programmer who wrote a Super Nintendo emulator, tried to blackmail Null into removing his thread, and is probably actually dead lol

Now we have evidence Byuu is alive and assuming he is, what will happen next? Will he come out and admit he faked his own death? Will he get back into the emulation scene under a new name and identity? Or will his friends keep wishing that he's dead with endless tweets and DDOS attacks?

Sounds like our guy. Dude has a lot of experience with computers. Cyber security sounds like there would be a lot of overlap with skill.
Plus, it sounds like he had a bone to pick with the farms before the Chris Chan stuff broke.

my money is on this guy.

Theory: Byuu is obviously alive, he is currently working at a company that focuses on making accessories for different aspects of the console and other stuff. This company has a clear connection to Wayne's company, SaveWizard. Wayne has connections to other company's which is probably how he knows Hector. Wayne was probably the one who originally wrote the Google Document but due to several factors he couldn't post the document himself. Wayne and Hector probably didn't expect the media to write stories about this incident but the mentality of taking down Kiwifarms deluded them, Wayne and Hector probably didn't realize that the US Department of State does a report about deaths overseas as they both don't originate from the US. When Byuu "died" and promised that scans of his passport would be released it never happened, why? They probably intended to release a fake passport but that would put Byuu at risk especially if the news were to catch on to what happened. Plus it would mean deportation, so it never happened.

Byuu announces that he's alive, commits sepuku for real, Farms get DDOSed again, the Farms' kill count increases by 1.

What's the deal with people saying Byuu stole his emulator code from Nintendo, can someone fill me in on this? My impression was always that Nintendo's emulation code for all consoles was much shoddier than the hobbyist stuff.
Plus, I never heard of a leaked Nintendo SNES emulator other than Silhouette for the Apple II or whatever it was.

Zammis Clark was the guy Nintendo already sued over the leak.

I expect its people who haven't got a clue what they are talking about. Byuu may be a cow but bsnes/higan/ares are very well made

There are pictures of him in Japan, however, in that cat cafe that @Wayne Beckett gave USA Today for their hit piece.
That's why I think @Wayne Beckett is probably actually Byuu himself. Who else would have that stuff? This guy, however much of a freak he is, had pretty good opsec, so I seriously doubt anyone would have had access to these pictures but he himself. All the dox we have of him is from people related to him in some way, not from himself.

Agreed. There has been a lot of baseless speculation recently that has been repeated enough that it's at risk of becoming "fact," and "Nintendo was gonna sue Byuu for stolen code/IP" is one of those.

@Near Throwaway The truth was going to come out eventually.
Faking suicide to provoke outrage towards people who were making fun of you in an almost dead thread?
At least we know at what lengths you would go to silence people. You disgust me.
Also you will never be a dogwoman, or whatever insane thing you imagine yourself to be.

My understanding is that it’s suspected to be microcode or perhaps something like VHDL for one or more of the expansion chips (like the FX chip). Getting these chips working on the emulator is necessary for certain games that were notoriously difficult to emulate accurately. Also most of these chips are notorious for their difficulty to reverse engineer, thus having stolen code for them would offer a lot for getting them working.

Just a reminder that Byuu complained about a 13-page thread, only to now have 2 threads about him with a combined 773 pages.
