President Joe Biden scheduled to visit New York and tri-state area to survey Ida damage

Today marks the first time that President Joe Biden will be visiting New York City since his inauguration in January.

Biden is scheduled to visit Queens and New Jersey to survey the damages caused by Ida last week.

Gov. Kathy Hochul will be joining the president today, after announcing that he approved the emergency disaster declaration for the state of New York. This act makes $5 million immediately available to the areas directly impacted which includes the Bronx and Brooklyn, as well as the areas the president will be touring today.

The over 7 inches of rainfall that hit the New York City area shattered records. At least 13 New Yorkers died, including one in Brooklyn.

The only military involvement I want to have with Afghanistan is to retrieve the people we abandoned there.

That being said, if we get another 9/11 type of event that originates in Afghanistan and the Taliban once again refuses to hand over those responsible, I think there’s little to no chance that we wouldn’t put boots back on the ground.

I think China would put pressure on them to hand over the next OBL because they don’t want us fucking around over there since they have an interest in mining the rare earth minerals. If they don’t, there’s no way we wouldn’t go in.

That was doable 20 years ago because Afghanistan had no allies. We go in now and we risk war with China and America does not have it in it to potentially threaten Chinese interests. That's not even necessarily because of Biden's corruption, but the Democratic party as a whole. The COVID party was unwilling to sanction China over COVID; they'd definitely make the US army roll over to the Chinese if a war were to occur.

Eviction is very slow and requires court orders. You'll start seeing the effects in 2 or 3 months. It's hard to get cops to cooperate with an eviction in the best of times, so I'm wondering if there will be mass non-compliance.

Most people are pussies and just walk after they get the order though.
