I don't understand her inability to recognize how bad her patches are. Is it just like a tism thing?
I see this phenomenon in non-artists or young, learning artists a lot, where that thing you drew, no matter how bad it is to anyone else, just looks perfect and correct to you. I remember experiencing it myself while learning as a child, being totally satisfied looking at a janky drawing and somehow thinking it was perfect, and then years later looking back and cringing (I still do this, to be fair.) I've seen regular adults do this as well, and I think maybe it's just a lack of a trained eye for that kind of thing, and it's surprisingly normal.

What really captivates me about Steph's patches isn't that they're bad and that she can't see that, but that she won't even quietly accept advice or criticism, not even in a way where she could just pretend to have come to these conclusions naturally in order to improve and make sales. But the things people point out, about not leaving enough space for sewing and how the broad brush strokes leave them illegible, etc, is really obvious stuff that even the worst artists would normally be like "well, that's clearly true" even if they didn't realize on their own and quietly wipe the embarrassment away to produce better work.
I don't know if this is just her holier than thou outlook or something else, but the ego of it all is fucking fascinating. I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of improvement on the patches is just her sticking her heels in and refusing logic because Everything is An Attack, even mundane craft advice, so she has to #resist.

*I actually think she'd benefit at least a little from buying a craft book or something, if she won't take advice from people online, but I honestly don't know if she'd even go that far.

her issue is she doesn’t want to be an artist because she’s got a burning desire or drive. She wants to because she thinks it’s easy and the fact she pumps out these low effort patches to sell is insulting. She could even craft an aesthetic that could make her patches work but she can’t be bothered. She wants to do the least amount of work for the most gain and we see this in every facet of her life:

Patreon: shitty recipes that she uploads sporadically and that she has zero expertise to be offering

OF: quick pics or vids that aren’t even well lit or composed, just her Donald Ducking it sticking what she can in herself

Activism: yell at people online or draw sigils and make spells.

Staph has a shit ton of free time on her hands, and this is not something that an aspiring artist or someone trying to start their own nonprofit should have. She’s lazy but thinks she’s a revolutionary.

She's said before that her brushes are shit but for some reason she can't be bothered to get better ones.

(I've always imagined them to be the bargain basement ones we got in kindergarten, like this...)

Despite the fact that you can get a halfway decent pack of brushes at Walmart for like $5.

It's always some excuse with her. She doesn't care to improve because she's trying to be "punk rock".

Weird how Peetie and Edith both heavily dislike you, but every other cat that doesn't exist loves you.

Staph: I'm currently awake because of my chronic illness.
Cthulhu: I hope you're ok!
Staph: I'll be fine, I deliberately eat foods that irritate my GERD so that I can tweet about having a chronic illness. 😅

Anyone would feel dysphoric levels of discomfort with their body if it looked like yours. Why have a typical hyperfeminine succubus sona if having a "female" body feels wrong for you?

I'd say yeah, it's cause she's a retard.

Funny part is, I've seen plenty of artistic autists, including those who are rather severely disabled, who produce better artwork. One was on tiktok and he would produce like mixed animal portraits (like an elephant lion or something) with very few and clean lines. Being disabled isn't a fucking excuse. Being retarded isn't even an excuse.

And neither is shitty brushes. People make entire careers out of fingerpainting. Hell, use a pencil. Or a stick. Anything works. People also paint with their mouths and feet and produce real art.

FAS can range so wildly, but a lot of the difference is in how one is raised. Methinks her adoptive parents were 'in denial' of the severity of her disorder and coddled the absolute fuck out of her. Think Chris-chan and his parents.

Aka, they were fine with the physical delays, but godforbid someone suggest their perfect single child was a fucking retard.
That's pretty sad, like pathetic sad, because anyone who's done a modicum of research into adoption knows that most kids are being unwillingly funneled from junkies who are not sending their best.

She's said before that her brushes are shit but for some reason she can't be bothered to get better ones.
Based on the way the paint is bleeding, she's also using shit tier acrylic paint, probably on the cheapest fabric she can find.
Even a good brush won't help much in those circumstances, not unless she's willing to make more than one pass at the design.

Any trans people I’ve spoken with don’t seem to really care about it being called women’s health/men’s health/whatever and just kind of go with it depending on what organs they have. The really young ones maybe, but anyone over 25 with a day job is “whatever”. Is it really that hot of a debate? Am I not online enough?
Anyway. Can’t imagine that disabled men, trans men, intersex men operated on as babies, etc. would be too happy about being used as a “gotcha” card in discussions about reproductive rights, seeing as their bodily autonomy is a totally different fight... Same to all those Black Muslim HIV+ trans women sex workers that Steph seems to be best buds with.
It's a hot issue for the AGP's who want to shove their penises or crotch wounds in nonconsenting womens' faces. I wish I were joking.

Been monitoring some lolcows on FetLife. I found her vaguely referencing the farms on a group post in a group called "Fucking the crazy" (lol that is so appropriate.) She is actually blaming the farms for being "canceled" due to her mass killer obsession. This also sheds more light on her mental state too.

She also has an old account on there too. But I don't know what her old name would me. Also has a Hellraiser festish too becuase why not:

That's currently all I could find that was interesting though. Someone else could fine more.

In regards to her style: do you guys think that maybe she has seen some artists who have intentionally "crappy" art-styles and thought she could do the same? I feel like those kinds of styles are harder to succeed with, not everyone can make crappy drawings convey the right feeling.
(Or maybe she expects a pass because she is handicapped and TRYINGG!)

My fav trait about her is her childlike lack of self awareness, it is a mental illness trait in an of itself that is horrifying. Imagine experiencing clarity for a short moment an realize how much you made a fool out of yourself in the same way she has? It would be unbearable.
One could mistake it for self confidence and become a bit jelous of how easy it is for some to not care about certain things but its just plain arrogance and it's not cute.

Though unsuccessful in my search for the Etsy sellers group, I did find this post on her facebook that was kind of interesting. Is she selling her fedoras on online marketplaces? ...To buy pins for her other fedoras? Also pretty dang ableist to suggest this lady must have "a screw loose" after her unpleasant experience meeting Yarrow in the flesh.

In addition with anything involving fabrics; it also has to be measured properly, and some customers get antsy about lengths (for clothing) and quality of the cloth or if it's ironed or not. if there's so much as cat hair or stains the customer will complain and let you know.
