Mica was/is an annoying, mouthy, vapid and pretentious little rich girl who didn't fit into AH at then time.

She was overbearing before she went on the infamous rant in Off Topic, and it annoys me that people try to make her lack of success at AH a race thing.

She was shit, end of story.

@Chilson

A) H's stuff isn't all perfect, nor am I touting him as a "source", but his video on Rwby actually goes in depth on RT's issues, especially the self-insert shit and bad writing which most rwby critics on youtube are too pussy to talk about (or they defend it).

B) He died because he had an allergic reaction after an allergy shots, which is on the hospital and doctors to monitor their patient and judge if the shots are working or not. It was also his responsibility to avoid things like being scratched and washing his hands after handling the animal. Not defending Sheena, but calling her a whore and blaming her is a pretty far stretch. She also only e-thotted hard a year or two after his death when Nigiri got her claws in her. Prior to that, she had been very reserved and removed from it all because of people like Turney and the RT fans.

C) I looked back and didn't see her selling stuff off. There was the gofundme and visa stuff that seems suspect with 20/20 hindsight but was pretty normal in that time (the gofundme wasn't even directly managed by sheena, but rather RT, and Gavin visa shit was just as shady. The US government does NOT like extending visas.)

D) his wife's tidbits specifically kept the show away from being "miles and co write themselves in as love interests" and towards the orginal plots of cinder and co being the focus as bad guys and plot devices. hers may not have been the only idea out there, but it certainly was the closest to how monty actually wrote his stories.

I wish quoting worked properly, but no. Sheena is a stupid whore that directly influenced Monty's death. Monty was allergic to cats enough that Burnie actually had to take the cat that lived at the offices home with him so Monty could work. Then Sheena absolutely had to have a cat, and despite how badly it was fucking him up she chose to keep the cat and get Monty to take the allergy procedure. Regardless of how the hospital handled it, Sheena chose a cat over her spouse.

Also, hbomberguy is ridiculous to even listen to for info, EZ had a better video where he didn't come off as wanting to suck his own dick with his gigantic brain.

This sums most of points A and B nicely, but for my own words.

A) Are you serious? RWBY critics main argument is bad writing and self-insert shit. Its their biggest points and the ones most brought up. Hbomberguy did not come up with it first or even popularize it. He parroted it or just had basic observation skills.

B) He died because he had to have an allergy shot FOR THE CAT SHE REFUSED TO GET RID OF!!!! You also have to be joking about Turney "removing" Sheena from it all. She and Turney were always thots and E-whores (which means they sell their bodies online for money, not actual sex), you just didn't notice because their e-fame at the time blinded you.

C) She sold the Wiess weapon model (and a few other of Monty's cosplay items) discreetly through eBay until she was caught and took down her discreet profile if I remember correctly. She might have sold some other stuff since then and not gotten caught.

D) He had told many people at RT many different versions of the story. Also, the writing up till that point was mostly Kerry and Miles anyways with Monty autisticly changing things at random at the 11th hour (which is why it was still shit, but shit with potential). I am sure Sheena had A VERSION of his vision, but he had dozens if not hundreds of versions of his mythical "vision" and I am sure he would have had hundreds more if he lived.

We are well past the point where RT could give their side of the story and look anything resembling decent when it came to the fallout from Monty’s death. The ONLY way we’ll get the real truth now is if shit leaks or if someone gets canned and is looking to burn some bridges. As it is now, the RWBY ship lost its captain at the worst possible time, and RT’s flagship IP of a franchise is sinking and sinking fast.

Personally, the switch flip happened when Monty passed away.
Monty's passing happened the same year Fragger made his post about Knuckles Dawson.
Double whammy!
As to what many consider the beginning of the end for Rooster Teeth, I've seen the arguments that the sale to Fullscreen in 2014 was that moment.
Given how Rooster Teeth was before the sale and how they became since, kind of hard to argue against.
Corporations kill creativity and pander to the lowest denominator, thinking that they are advertiser-friendly and "expanding their base."
All they do is alienate long-time customers in the end.

I wasn't prone on watching that 2 hours video on RWBY... then I saw SovietWomble's comment.
Aight, I'll watch it tomorrow while I work.

Why do people act like Rwby was good before Monty died?

The dude literally had a character based after himself in there, he was just as bad as Kerry and Miles he just knew how to direct an above average fight scene.

That's why. Seriously.
Also, when Monty was running the show, people felt Monty's passion for the series would really shine through and that for all its faults, the show knew what it was and didn't try to be bigger than its britches, something later volumes get criticized for a lot.

Also, with the likes of Haloid, Dead Fantasy, his work on Red vs Blue, and the Red trailer, people were excited to see what Monty could and would do with his own show, and when RWBY started out, it quickly began its rise to being the biggest thing RT ever had, and RvB just knew it was time to pass the torch.

No one seriously thinks RWBY was in any way good. It was however completely unexplored territory. This was one of the first true "high" production (by internet standards) online anime's. People were willing to forgive its shortcomings as growing pains and saw true potential as Monty poured in all his effort and clear passion.

The reality is though that this was wishful thinking. Had Monty lived RWBY would likely still be shit as Monty was growing arrogant and disdainful of RWBY's critics before he died. He was a rather gifted action director (still just above average, but he could have been great with the proper mentor and proper animation experience) who really needed to learn other animation software. But he is a fucking terrible writer and general director.

Have fun and good luck. Some buddies of mine tried to watch it….only to find it boring and switch to watching Kamen Rider instead.
I'm halfway through watching it, and frankly it's not bad. My ears bleed everytime I hear the voice actors, like who the fuck thought Lindsay Jones would have made a good Ruby Rose?
Thank fuck I stopped watching after the first two episodes, and just spent the rest of my knowledge on RWBY on beating it to rule34.

>He was a rather gifted action director
Sure, if you count directly ripping animations from scenes in the Matrix and Devil May Cry series as gifted or having goofy shit on par with Indian cinema. All of his works are just taking things from other properties, Haloid, Dead Fantasy and RWBY are all built on other shit and name them directly, at a certain point you just have to sit back and realise that you're watching a man playing with action figures, crashing them together over and over again, with all the grace and aplomb of an eight year old. The only difference is that people saw things they recognised and so they clapped. Is he a talented animator? Yeah, sure. Is he a good director? Fuck no, all Monty and Kerry did was talk about Monty would give conflicting and haphazard directions for the shows future and all he wanted to do was crash his toys together.

Who the fuck cares.
I'm almost done with the video and holy shit, I did not realize that 90% of RWBY is just homage to a lot of other medias.
It's not really an homage when you're a talentless hack who just wants to re-animate the biggest most recent fight scene from the most popular anime you just watched.
