I'm not a medical Kiwi so I can't speak definitively. There are psychiatrists I could ask in my real life, but I would rather light myself on fire than admit that I follow this sort of retarded shit for entertainment.
Clearly, she has real mental health problems. And as far as DID fakers go, her presentation is more believable than what you usually see on TikTok, but still feels performative and grossly exaggerated. DID is controversial even by real doctors, but even if she did have DID as diagnosed by a valid and competent specialist, her fantasy about how some of the members of her system are non-verbal, some are married to each other, most live in a Matrix island, etc., is just flat out fantasy.
If I had to guess, I would say that she is a pathological liar but that a lot of her shit comes from being deeply lonely and histrionic — so classic cluster B bullshit. I would guess that the only way she has historically been able to get people to pay attention to her is by being sick or getting hurt, which is why a lot of her histrionic stuff is tied to her disorders, alleged disabilities, and whatnot.
Lots of people have genuine psychotic breaks in their late 20s, so that could be the case here, though I sort of doubt it. Her stuff seems too controlled. Like, she can work a job (even if she’s getting paid a shit wage — people in affluent cities pay WAY more than $19 an hour for nannies, get more Alyssa!), can go to social things like a furry convention and interact with people.
I think she’s just a cluster B crazy bitch with legitimate mental health problems who exaggerates her diagnoses for attention and has no friends/social life so she’s entirely too online and spergs out like a freak. She reminds me of the teens we used to see on LiveJournal, but she never grew out of the crazy and just started fucking trans furries instead.
I do wonder how much of her autism/mania/ridiculousness Kevin and co will be willing to handle. Like, I admit I haven’t followed Kevin or the Tranch very long, but aside from being very gross people who share way too much on Twitter and being delusional about passing, the actual people at the Tranch don’t seem overtly mentally ill. Like, they are all into ridiculous and gross fetishes, but it’s the non-Tranchers like Ridley and Wedge that seem the most unhinged (and Kevin broke up with Rickley because he is too crazy), and I think Wedge is just an unemployed Zoomer with a thing for gross kink shit.
If this isn’t an act she just puts on online but then acts “normal” in person, I am very excited to see how the Tranch responds to actual mental illness.
