Pretty much this. From what I remember from lurking in the Discord there's a pretty significant portion of the fanbase that eats up lore/videos/self-inserts regarding YanSim but lacks devices that can actually run the game. Not "run the game even if it's at a terrible framerate" (and of course, there were lots of those); people with devices like Chromebooks and tablets joining the Discord and saying "help pls game not run". I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the fans of the game have never played it themselves.

Alex does not know how to code an AI properly, as his shity methods of coding would lag too much for stable gameplay.

Instead of making the AI fetch actions (classes) from a script everything is written in one script and the AI checks if its ID matches the actions, time, location and then performs the action. This is done individually for every NPC on every frame.

Make a separate clock system and action script. Then make the NPCs fetch the separate time value and then match the time value with the action. Instantiate the action script to share it between all NPC's to reduce memory and CPU usage. It ain't that fucking difficult if you make a proper flowchart.
