Dude, that ship has sailed. We've been thru arcs in this country where people believed a man was killed so that a pedophile cabal could remain hidden while in power, and that the election was literally stolen by people and we will never have another fair one.

Those who know about these things have shown they won't take any real action. I piss on a lot of Null's takes, but he's absolutely right when he says that people in the U.S. are too comfy to do anything that puts them at risk. And any time you get close to doing anything, you're called a glownigger or a fedposter.

Expect nothing to change except for more and bigger dicks in the ass of the people.

I agree with the sentiment.

But I've seen way too many people saying "we" need to fight while they sit around waiting for others first.

Unfortunately, this country is too pozzed I believe to actually put up any sort of resistance outside of the system.

The problem is "how do you protest this?"

For red states, they are going to fight at the state level to avoid this happening. Bonus points if your governor is Abbott or DeSantis or isn't a RINO. Most states with R trifectas are going to be sitting pretty, unless Biden actually starts invading State capitals. In that case, buy ammo. A lot of it.

The people this will most likely fuck over are bluer, working class or minority states like the Rust Belt, and maybe Virginia due to the federal mandate. Those people are either going to revert to niggercattle or do European tier protests. If you see none, those states are lost.

Even shithole NYC is protesting this. It is not popular, and the more people it affects, the more blowback.

Why is Biden making such a fuzz about covid and the vaccine? When it looks like there isn't any public or media push for it at the beginning?

Why doesn't the government just take a W for the vaccine effort and let the media do the rest?

I know there is the delta variant thing, but if we look at the death rate, it is still way lower than it was at the height of this pandemic, not to mention, there is no clear sign of the medical system going into collapse, otherwise they would be using that evidence to push for the mandate.

Not to mention that the USA has one of the highest rate of vaccinated countries of the world, and the ones ahead of it are places with a population way, WAY smaller.

So what is the point of making such a antaghonistc stance that will only serve to turn your political opposition intro freedom martyrs?

Again, why not the dems make their covid policy a win for them and boast the fact that the vaccines are effective, hence why the delta variant isn't as deadly as the original strand and let the media do the rest.

I would understand if there was a crisis on hospitals and people dying in their homes, you know, visuals that can't be denied, but if Biden said everything is going well with covid, then pretty much all the libs would accept that the same way they bought the Afeghanistain shit, and the republicans would be left holding their dicks, because they wouldn't be able to say otherwise or go against their base.

The Inertia has already failed - Governors are coming forward and saying "No" to this mandate. And the Feds have to act to enforce it. If they don't move, those states win. If they do move, they have to act and actively work to defend it, requiring steering, which'll immediately implode.

This took less than an hour to fall apart, and they're already fucked.

Some people are speculating that this, like the eviction moratorium, is intended to fail in order to shift blame onto other parties, the Supreme Court and the GOP governors being some of them. On the other hand, if it sticks, bonus powers to the Dems as well.

Just seems like an awfully destructive way to do so, IMO.

What I'm about to say: YOU DO NOT WANT TO GO DOWN THIS ROAD, but it may happen.

Could be interesting, but I do see this happening more on the local level, where you might end up with Taliban-American resistance collaboration (i.e. sharing recipes, techniques). Above that, you start getting billionaires and local governments outfitting militias and cartels looking for business opportunities, and finally on the state level, I think you'd get Russian mercenaries and Chinese freighters quietly delivering materiel and funding to their factions of choice.

@Bolo Ultimately, if you don't want to believe in the conspiracy theories that this is all just a way to slowly turn everything into a health 'crisis', this is about Biden's poll numbers saying that he is not handling the Coronavirus well. So there's nothing left to do but to double down on a vaccine that barely works and implement policies that are going to get laughed out of court.
