Yeah I agree, there must be something happening in the background they're not telling people. If I had to guess, there are credible threats that some ISIS psycho slip through the cracks during the pullout or the Taliban are gonna kick off their own version of the Iran Hostage Crisis on the anniversary of 9/11 just to really twist the knife. The latter really wouldn't surprise me, the vibe I get from the Taliban leadership is that they like shitting on Biden cause they know he's a weak president.

Probably the same way mine did it: ask you to say yes or no to “I am jabbed” in a payroll/HR system without asking you to prove it. The big name payroll systems added “COVID Vaccination Status” fields months ago.
In addition to this being an easy way to collect the data for the retarded HR monkeys, the reasons for doing it this way are twofold. First, the company believes by requiring jabs, they are covered from a liability perspective if people get the coof while on the job. So they coerce employees into self-disclosing their vaccination status. Second, employers absolutely do not want to be collecting employee health records because that would open them up to liabilities as well. This is also why when asked to disclose a disability on applications, employers do not ask what the disability is. Even when asking for reasonable accommodations, employers can only ask for proof of the disability in certain circumstances.
This mandate is Pandora’s Box in so many ways and IDK if the administration knows what they did by opening it.

This is absolutely an attempt at a distraction from Afghanistan. When asked at todays presser about whether grandpa joe would address the nation on 9/11, strawberry shortcake revealed he is releasing a pre-recorded address. PRE-RECORDED. Personally, and perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but that speaks volumes about heir internal polling . Some polls have revealed he's at 39% approval currently (and I'd be willing to bet he's lower) . One of those polls was with a D+10 sample. Trump didn't get that low. There is no doubt that these mandates were on the agenda, but the fallout from Afghanistan has been devastating enough that they had to move. Strategically, it really is their only option, no matter how clownish it looks.

This kind of thing is how you get a civil war, by failing to follow Rule 1 of Command.
Never give an order that will not be followed.
The reason is simple; once they overcome the threshold to disobey an order, they start doing it for every order and command authority collapses.
Sure, one little mayor seems like a small deal when they declare that X federal rule will not be followed; masks, guns, whatever. But it puts the Feds in a fix, either they do nothing and let their authority slowly erode and the country balkanize OR they crack down to try and make the mayor bend the knee.
What happens when the mayor doesn't bend? When the city council refuses to remove him, when the local PD and citizens rally around him, and the Feds end up arresting half a township for one little mayor standing up for his town? Well, done and dusted, right? CNN will call them all terrorists, the FBI office gets a commendation, and it's settled, right?
Wrong. The underlying command authority has not been restored, the arrested people are now martyrs, and trust is damaged. This sets the stage for another conflict, maybe even a larger one in a bigger city. And eventually, if the rift is not repaired (which the current power structure seems to have no interest in) the conflict will eventually rise to a governor telling DC to sit and spin.
That will be the real fireworks, I tell you. When a state's governor stands up and tells the Feds to fuck off with the support of his constituents then we are past the point of no return. The local FBI or Federal marshals might be sent to arrest the governor, and in response state authorities will be instructed to escort every Fedboi to the border. You better hope the local PD and state troopers are able to do that without firing a shot. Though if the shooting doesn't start there, it'll likely really kick off at any local military or NG bases. Assuming that they don't flip to support the Governor when this goes down.
Any way you slice it, this all starts with the political elite forgetting that all their power and authority derives ultimately from the consent of the governed. They have departed too far, and have sown the whirlwind.
This has been going on for years, with the 'Sancturary Cities' for illegal invaders and the low grade sedition with activist judges and the open defiance with 'autonomous zones' and if you want to lay some blame on Trump for tolerating it you can. Regardless, the situation has been ratcheted up by the Democrats and Marxist Left for decades now, and here we have Biden turning everything up to 11.

@JohnDoe Well said. If people are unified in non-compliance, it becomes exponentially more difficult for the federal government to enforce tyranny. It's been easy for the Biden admin to slap around the people from January 6th in solitary confinement, because most people don't want to speak out about it. But when the feds are in a position where they would have to systematically fine or arrest entire towns to get compliance, they either have to back down or literally engage in civil war measures.
I know mainstream media won't report all the calls to impeach Biden, but the sentiment is definitely there and growing. The White House knows this. We already have half of the state governments opposing the mandate in only 7 hours after its announcement. What are the feds going to do?

I got Trump's wacky vaccy months ago, and I'm always happy to see when people opt not to get it. I'm all for everybody being able to exercise the right of whether or not to take it, and the mandates piss me off.
Of course, I'm in a state that will not listen to those mandates. If you're not at risk for any of the shit Covid could hit you with/exacerbate a pre-existing condition, then I think most people don't need it. I'm partially at-risk and travel a lot, so it's just making my life easier to have it and cut through red tape, but I sincerely hope more people continue to stand up and not get the jab if they don't need it. It's only worsening urbanite hysteria.
