I'm a little curious to know what he looks like in his own head. From his outfit choices and the new video I'm inclined to assume that he's under the illusion he is as thin and dainty as other famous trans women who do make an actual effort like the above mentioned Hunter or Andreja Pejic. I find both of them borderline underweight looking but it's obvious they've taken the time and paid the sweat and hunger pangs to make their bodies look as close to female as possible for their frames. When I look at Olly otoh, all I get is the same vibe as those late 20's/early 30's men who are still under the illusion that they're 22 and that their bodies won't show the thrice weekly drinking benders and subsequent fast food binges with minimal time spent at the gym. Do we know if he's on hormones yet? If not, I foresee a rude awakening once that's set in motion.

I've seen this sort of delusion a lot in HAES and FA circles where they latch on to the narrative of thin people having body dysmorphia as well and somehow twist this to convince themselves that the fat body they (and everyone else for that matter) can clearly see, is just all in their heads and they're actually way thinner than they think they are. This bald faced lie is also pretty common in trans circles when someone questions their ability to 'pass' and they'll all be like: 'Oh no, you're so wrong. It's all in your head and other people perceive you differently and aren't that harsh. We're our own worst critics. Maybe shape your eyebrows a bit, it makes A WORLD of difference!' All this does is justify laziness and prevent them from learning a lesson every woman, no matter her body type, learns sooner or later: to work with the body they've got, not the body they want. But nah, dressing up as your fabulous, slayin queen self and questioning the very existence of beauty ideals, generously peppered with experiences of personal insecurity is easier than doing a couple of fucking squats every now and then. It's funny how he seems to think of himself as 'above' the Fat Acceptance people, because he's convinced he's thin and privileged because of it, while pretending to feel sympathy for them when in reality, he's looking exactly like them.

Anyway, new video was indeed just terribly boring. The eating disorder discourse has been going on for a while on social media and no new insights or even inspiration was gained from this video. Say about Contra what you will, but it's clear from her videos, while outrageously stylized, that she seems to get the idea of substance over style more than PT. Putting on some costumes and playing different parts to repeat the exact same narrative that countless others have before him and much better at that, does not add anything of value whatsoever.

Anyway, rant over.

I had it on in the background and couldn't even sit through the whole thing, it was that insipid. As much as I dislike Contra, at least he's able to keep it fairly interesting for the entire vid. What PT does feels like a hollow copy of Contra content, which is exactly what it is.

I know that PT tons of views, but am I the only one who isn't that impressed. His newest video came out over a week ago and it has like 600k (I know it's more than most can hope for), but, like, with how much work and milking the algorithm it feels like he should have a lot higher. It's like no one is really that interested in his videos.

He will stop in a bit, when the backlash (read- some overly polite, overly generous crtiques) becomes more prominent than the dicksucking. to be fair it would be pretty weird to have a trans woman in a shelter full of men. also i dont know how many such shelters exist, generally because the higher percentage of deadly -and thus immediately dangerous cases of dv are usual male on female- thats not to discount the abuse men suffer at the hands of their partners- women do kill men, i can think of two recent cases in the uk, but sadly there are a fuck-ton more the other way around, just from a size and strength point of view.

This is exactly what Morgane Oger did. He helped gather attention around the Vancouver Rape Crisis center and got TRAs to nail dead rats to the door. He is responsible for getting that shelter defunded, even after a transwoman had sexually assaulted a woman there. The women sued and had their cases thrown out. Oger, again, is responsible for that.

So for Olly, this isn't about the protection of women. This is him being a male, butting into women's safe spaces, and looking them dead in the eye and telling them their safety comes second to his needs. Imagine this 6'1 man with a shit opera voice and huge feet waddling next to you and telling you that your rape might've made you terrified of men, but he's terrified of men too and deserves to be there.

Let's not forget that the Rape Crisis shelter in Scotland is controlled by a male who told rape victims to get over their trauma when they complained.

I’m no expert on Turner syndrome, but I feel like a young person who had that condition would not identify themselves as “cis” 24/7. Not these days. Tons of woke youngsters who don’t have an issue like that already claim some kind of LGBTQIA++ type identity.
