Yes. Originally I believe he had a VSG (vertical sleeve gastrectomy aka Sleeve). As often happens after that particular surgery, he developed complications associated with GERD. The only way to treat that successfully in the long term is to revise the procedure to a Gastric Bypass so the pyloric valve is taken out of the digestive line, meaning acid no longer builds up in the remodelled gastric pouch. That also gives the added benefit (for a very short time) of added weightloss.

I'm interested in if there are any recent pictures of MBP. There certainly seems to be a lot of speculation that he hasn't lost any more weight, but I've not seen anything recent that would back that up.

• On Foie Gras stopped her reactions, saying in a community tab post that Amberlynn's cancer was too hard on her because it was dredging up caretaker trauma. (So tragic that Val had to cope with Amberlynn's cancer. )
• Coal was busy weeping about the imaginary children she never had (and that she's now too fat and old to ever have) and how they were going to fare in the fascist stew that is America. That and inventing fantasies about how the UberEats guy was interested in anything more than how much her broke ass was going to not tip him again this time.

Many of them tried to play off their decision to stop reacting as nothing more than a coincidence. I think they wanted to avoid the bad optics of hectoring ALR while she was dealing with cancer while also not seeming like they were backing out of reacting to ALR because of the cancer — because that would implicitly suggest that there was something unduly aggressive, intrusive or otherwise inappropriate about their reactions since they had to be stopped to avoid compounding ALR's stress in a time of duress.

No recent photos that I've seen but at some point within the last year he bragged about being down to 340 elbees and when haydurs pointed out that he was still supermorbidly obese he started his usual whining about how he's ackshually really tall tyvm sus.
