I was tipped off about this video today. Looks like Sewer is having a mental breakdown and posted almost an hour of Halo gameplay today. This was maybe not the last thing I was expecting them to upload, pretty in tune with an edgy degenerate troon to be into Halo, but still, I'm kind of thrown off by it since no musician seeking commercial success would pull something like this imo.

I've seen bits and pieces of the video - they use a text-to-speech program the whole way through (55 mins!) instead of their real voice which gets annoying fast, plus its filled with 2012-tier YouTube Poop jokes. Apparently making this was a coping mechanism to process some grief - I read this thread a while ago so maybe I don't remember, who died?

I'm so brain-diseased that I had their new video pop into my feed and I was immediately like "yeah maybe I should see what the thread says about it" because what else would I do at 5am. Then I found that nobody really had anything to say about it and I pretty quickly figured out why. It's terminally unfunny. It's not that the video style can't be funny; people have done some good stuff with TTS and clever editing.

The difference between those videos and this video is that this video is 55 fucking minutes long and spends a couple of the first five minutes bitching about the sexualization of Cortana.



At 12 minutes in there's a really poorly edited 'montage' of them shooting shit with a sniper rifle with awful music. Comedy genius, that. It, like the Cortana bit, goes on for too long. Ethan has really poor comedic timing. It's like he doesn't know how long jokes should go on for or how long a bit should last or when it should end. There's no actual punch to any of the editing either, there's no impact. It's just him...shooting stuff.

All throughought the video they stop talking and just show gameplay. It's not edited or anything and there may or may not be music. It just feels awkward, especially when there isn't really a proper segway into it.

It's a really bland attempt at a Pyrocynical-style satirical essay that doesn't say anything enlightening.
