Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

LOL NO, cause Justinian actually did shit to improve the Byzantine Empire during his reign, whereas Biden has not only not improved the state of America, he has quantifiably made it worse. The mental gymnastics of these people would make you a multiple time gold Olympic medalist if you were to perform them physically.
Justinian's long-term legacy is debatable since his ruinous reconquest wars left the Empire in a very precarious position which let the Persians and ultimately the Muslims cripple them, though a lot of this was down to the plague which he couldn't have foreseen or really done anything to stop. However, he did make a genuine effort and he was young and energetic which is much more than can be said about Biden.

Emperor Justinian? The Emperor who's autistic obsession with reconquering the western Roman empire bankrupted the east's thriving economy and set the precedent of pushing the army to the breaking point morale wise struggling to defend an overstretched empire.

Well... there are two ways that Justinian is looked at. There's the more common Justinian the Builder who built the Hagia Sofia and reconquered former Roman/Byzantine territory and there's Justinian the Spender who built the Hagia Sofia and reconquered former Roman/Byzantine territory.

One view is that of legacy few could match while the other is that of a leader who spent way too much money on beautifications and conquests.

The soy lad's google doc on the incident.

Does he not realize by picking them up and putting them in trash bags he destroyed and defaced the memorial display?

What a little faggot. Seems to have deleted all his social media too.

Fadel A’s Formal Statement on the Flag Relocation Incident

Currently, there is a massive harassment campaign propagated primarily by Washington University College Republicans, as well as the national Young American’s Foundation (YAF) regarding an incident that occurred at approximately 6 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021. There is a large amount of misinformation circulating, and I seek to explain both what occurred and why it happened.

The misinformation that is currently circulating on YAF’s page states that I was “stealing” the flags. This is due to a WashU College Republicans member, taking a video of me collecting flags in plastic bags. However, I had no intention of removing the flags from the Mudd Field area, and my full protest did not have the chance to be actualized. My planned protest was to place the bags of flags on Mudd field, along with various statistics (including those below) explaining the human cost of 9/11 in the past 20 years. On the sides of the bags, some writing may be visible, but the full statement was not outlined at the time of the video. I did not deface, destroy, damage, nor steal any flags, nor did I interfere with any registered event time. I assert that I did not violate any University Code of Conduct policy, though the conduct process is undergoing. Additionally, I was verbally and physically harassed by numerous WashU students and WUPD officers, whom I plan to report through official channels.

Since 9/11, Islamophobic hate crimes have been higher than they ever were before. The United States invaded countries in the Middle East and Central Asia, and over 900,000 people have been killed because of the wars the United States has propagated. 37 million people have been displaced, with some reports stating that number reaches up to 59 million. Any memorial of 9/11 that does not contend with these facts is not only incomplete, but it also amplifies pro-imperialist sentiment and actively disrespects those who have died because of American Invasion. A memorial which uses US flags is especially insidious, as it does not recognize those who have fallen, but uses a symbol that was on the shoulders of those who are responsible for the deaths of 900,000 people, and uses the innocent lives lost during 9/11 as a political prop upholding American hegemony. Muslims such as I have faced fear, harassment, and Islamophobia from those who unjustly use the victims of 9/11 as a political cudgel. Those who died during 9/11 deserve better than to be used as a political tool by those who seek to excuse American imperialism and Islamophobia. They died for no reason, suddenly and traumatically, and they should be grieved, not by political symbols, but by their names and faces. I also want to extend my condolences to all those who have died and been injured, both American and not, since 9/11. Their deaths were preventable, and thus, extremely tragic.

For those of you who have been reaching out in concern of my safety, I would like to assure you that I am working with the university to ensure that I am safe during this time. This has garnered attention at a scale that I was not expecting, and my regret is that the information circulating consists primarily of a lie.

I encourage those who are angry about my protest to consider the reasons for this protest, and the reasons for their anger, very carefully. I would like to refer you to a speech by Frederick Douglas, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” (link: https://teachingamericanhistory.org/library/document/what-to-the-slave-is-the-fourth-of-july/), and encourage you to research the statistics of Islamophobic hate crimes and civilian deaths caused during the post-9/11 American wars. I also wrote an article two years ago in the Washington University Political Review speaking about the issues surrounding 9/11 rhetoric (link: https://www.wupr.org/2019/10/24/911-islamophobia-and-false-unity/). I hope you all deeply reflect during this somber time.

There's also the "Fuck you Dad" type, which im amazed to learn can exist past their teen years

"Lmao who wants to go to boring white people heaven anyways? If theres a heaven and hell, and i dont believe there is, hell sounds much more fun with all the queer people that god hates"

Paraphrasing yeah, but i had that said to me over some dinner a while ago, found it sad
That viewpoint is on every mainstream social media website. And it's almost never from a teenager trying to be edgy, it's some 30-something white woman/white male college student. Another talking point is "Who cares about having a family or community? I'm going to stay in my 20's forever silly, and drink and fuck and get high. Mortality? What's that? Sounds like something a Boomer would care about."
Jimmy Kimmel isn't twitter, and that motherfucker is already trying to get his audience on board with the fact that we should just let certain people die without hospital care.
Who still watches Jimmy Kimmel?

So, what percentage of the population do you reckon are true believers, compared to just inattentive/misinformed Joes and Janes?
I would guess it’s somewhere around 15-25% overall and that number increases to maybe 30% in urban areas. I talk to a variety of people across the upper Midwest for work and that is what I’ve observed. There are significant numbers of Dem-leaning people, especially suburban women, who do question how far the left narrative has gone. They still insert the “now I know discrimination is a problem, *but*“ and go on to talk about how the dindu autonomous zones need to stop. They are the same ones who remember how immune systems and vaccines worked in the past. The “true believers” are the loudest because they have nothing else to live for other than making others as miserable as they are. The rest are too busy working and paying taxes and being with their families, but they are starting to wake up to how demented the left is. Now we wait to see if they do anything or if they continue Voting Blue No Matter Who.

Justinian? No. His successor Justin II maybe...

The fall of Dara and his realization of his part in it drove Justin mad. He is said to have snapped and bitten his nearby attendants and ordered loud organ music to be played to soothe his frenzied mind from the voices he reportedly heard. His condition rapidly deteriorated overtime and bars had to be attached to palace windows to prevent him from jumping out of them. Attendants had to roll him around the palace on a cart to keep him happy. It was even rumored that Justin had eaten two of his attendants, but many sources just say that he had just mauled them badly.

In one of his rare lucid moments he appointed his general Tiberius Constantine to be his heir and gave him the rank of Caesar. His speech to Tiberius has survived:

"You behold the ensigns of supreme power. You are about to receive them, not from my hand, but from the hand of God. Honor them, and from them you will derive honor. Respect the empress your mother: you are now her son; before, you were her servant. Delight not in blood; abstain from revenge; avoid those actions by which I have incurred the public hatred; and consult the experience, rather than the example, of your predecessor. As a man, I have sinned; as a sinner, even in this life, I have been severely punished: but these servants (and he pointed to his ministers), who have abused my confidence, and inflamed my passions, will appear with me before the tribunal of Christ. I have been dazzled by the splendor of the diadem: be thou wise and modest; remember what you have been, remember what you are. You see around us your slaves, and your children: with the authority, assume the tenderness, of a parent. Love your people like yourself; cultivate the affections, maintain the discipline, of the army; protect the fortunes of the rich, relieve the necessities of the poor." A more apt comparation would be with Emperor Severus Alexander, he was the emperor that infamously was little more than a puppet to his mother and followed her every command, when he was left alone to his own devices like during the wars with Persia and the Germanic tribes he fucked it up and was only able to carve a victory thanks to his generals, the reign of Alexander marked the beggining of the Crisis of the Third Century, a crisis in wich Rome almost completly collapsed, it was only thanks to the efforts of the Illyran Emperors that Rome managed to survive.
The main differnce between Biden and Alexander is the age between the two, Biden is a senile old fool while Alexander was just 13 when he became emperor and died at the age of 26.

Bush Jr. just gave a speech saying that we should confront domestic extremists with the same vigor that we did foreign terrorists.

this is why I seriously hope the dems accelerate as hard left as they can atm - the harder they bank there, the more of what you just described (the center) will bank the opposite way.

I'm old enough to remember I was told to not blame the Islamic terrorists for 9/11 but America for making them do it.

I think Trump fits Justinian more that most presidents. Even down to a bullshit plague that crippled the empire.
