So I'm guessing this would have to be the influence of the Establishment arm? The Progressives have already established they'd happily support Biden if he flayed children and drank their blood in front of him, so I don't see them caring much about overall approval, and the Business interests similarly probably don't care directly about public perception, as long as they get their policy moves. The only group would really be the Uniparty, who know they have to wear the stain of a disaster president for years to come.

The Progressives hate Biden, he's nowhere near left enough for them. They wanted Sander's and had to hold their nose to vote for Biden. Though to Answer, CNN is in the unique position of owing their loyalty to all three at once. This move is likely an attempt to eject themselves from the conversation. Had a thought: What if the push for the Vax Mandate is a ploy to try to provoke an insurrection moment, something the admin can use to push for martial law. They can't do it as things are, but with the right justification, they could sway the public enough so opponents like DeSantis can't fight against it. From there, I have no idea what would happen.

I never said it was a -good- plan. The schizophrenic, completely erratic response is the flailing of a group of people desperate to throw anything at everything at the wall in the hopes something sticks. They have been doing this for a while, to predictable results. Popularity plummeting, mandate pissed away, nothing stuck. So they are left with nothing... so what else can they possibly do?

America's infantry is fucking terrible. They rely on 'special forces' to do the job a normal infantryman would have been tasked with a few decades ago.

America has become over reliant on it's air force and has allowed it's army to become infested with troons and fat women. The actual number of combat ready troops in the American army, i.e. actual fighting men, is relatively small and nowhere near enough to impose a commie dictatorship in a continent sized country with 150 million gun owners. Tactical weapon systems are not designed to quell civil unrest and 30-50,000 soldiers, most of whom will have divided loyalties, isn't going to cut it. At best they will secure the cities and some supply lines to keep them fed.

Civil wars are a funny thing, all the rules go out the window in a hurry. You can't use local police and soldiers to impose order in an occupied territory because the locals know who they are and where they live and they'll kill their families. So you have to bring in outsiders which turns the population even more radical. I suggest people go read up on the Yugoslav, Syrian or Ukrainian wars to see the likely outcomes. I can't believe the left are insane enough to risk this, literally anything would be preferable from their perspective.

3: It is coming to a head, hell it came to a head and is playing out right now in the interparty civil war. The only person even keeping congress in a state of semi-functionality is Pelosi.

The official, clean money cost of the 2018 Midterms was 5.7 billion. That's the -clean- money, it costs about ten dollars for every 1 you need to clean in politics. In terms of liquid assets, 57 billion is a -lot-. 2022 is looking to cost -even fucking more-.

Addendum: Despite the claims of infinite money, the actual costs of the midterms alone are -ghastly-. And both the 2018 and 2020 elections bankrupted basically everybody. Whoever invests into 2022, a losing prospect, is going to have to bankrupt -themselves-. This money isn't actually infinite, and both sides desperately need money... but the Republicans are coming in from a -vast- position of strength and can afford to spend a -lot- less. In terms of monetary leverage, the Republicans are going in with a 3-1 advantage, for every 1 dollar they spend, the Democrats will need to spend 3 to -break even-.

Addendum II: There is a second reason for Pelosi acting now. The infrastructure bill appears to have fallen through or will at least get gutted with amendments. A lot of the pork in there is ways for money to go from the government into the midterms. Without that bill, the way they intended to refill their utterly spent coffers is just -gone-.

Honestly, when Trump took over the Republican, I thought it was over for them, but it seems like a lot of politicians found a new life under Trump influence, if more so indirectly, like the Florida and Texas govs and even guys who were taken as a rino like Ted Cruz found himself in a new popular light.
Yeah, i know the republicans ain't all Trump, and a lot of them kicked him when he was down after he lost, but weirdly enough, it ssems like they are at least more coherent than whatever the fuck the dems are right now.
