The Australian totalitarian megathread - She won't be right mate.

Taking a look at the reddit sites, especially places like r/coronadownunder is just cringe to me. They all share the same ideology and blame the unvaccinated because fug them for putting us all at risk of a mutating cold.
All the big Aussie subs have always been boot-licker central. Reddit seemingly by design is a propaganda skinner box in general and Australians in particular seem to have zero antibodies to groupthink. I can't say it's totally artificial but it's definitely cultivated.
They don't even really hide it. Australian federal and state police alone have weirdly large social media teams (I read years ago that they were some of the largest in the world, I don't remember if that was absolute or proportionate, and I can't seem to find that particular report again now). Skeezy.

Just take a glance at r/Sydney the bootlicking there is insane. Funny they usually fucking hate police until it comes to enforcing removing human rights over a overblown virus

Blame the unvaccinated, more easier to blame the little guy instead of the incompetent governments as well as Big Pharma who developped these vaccines in a rush and half-developped to maximise their profits.

Cue to Willy Wonka saying "you hate the police. Now tell me why you want them to remove human rights over a overblown virus?"

It's not worth it trying to understand these people. They're either easily deluded by propaganda emanating from any source that seems "reliable" like governments and thus incapable of seeing the doublethink or they're people who desperately want to believe these "reliable" sources and thus ignore the doublethink. There's nothing you can do to reason with them and arguing with them is an exercise in futility, you can only laugh at them.

This afternoon at Bondi Beach.

I guess it won't be long before we heard of Australian refugees. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/more-and-more-australians-are-seeking-leave-country
Authored by Daniel Teng via The Epoch Times,

August saw the highest number of Australians apply to leave the country over the past year.

According to figures from the Australian Border Force (ABF), 37,979 applications were received from individuals hoping to leave the country, with 14,900 of those looking to be overseas for three months or more.

A large portion of the applications - 12,347 - were rejected. Australia is one of the few countries in the world that require residents to apply for permission before leaving the country.

The latest figures (pdf) reveal that since January - when the ABF received 20,976 applications - Australians have continued looking for opportunities to leave the country.

“There are literally tens of thousands of people out there on social media and elsewhere saying we’re done, we don’t need this anymore,” Andrew Cooper, president of LibertyWorks told the Daily Telegraph.
“There’s definitely that feeling out there—people saying I’m done,” he added.

To be fair, the pharma thing is because the governments turned it into a race. National Pride was at stake on who can develop them faster in a crash program. They were doing this for an ever-changing cold virus to begin with. That they aren't perfect is no surprise.

What I've noticed is that they have picking favorites afterward. J&J vaccine being notable in not getting the "vaccine misinformation" protections. Make up whatever bullshit you want and spread it around as long as it is specifically about them. The mRNA ones, however, are getting praised to the heavens and talking shit on them is verboten. They really want you to get the latter and not the former. This despite the massive advantages in the handling and deployment of the J&J. One shot out of a normal medical fridge. You could send a nurse with a cooler out and vaccinate hundreds. It is the silver bullet in a mass vaccination campaign. If that was the goal. But I don't think that is.

It indicates that they were always angling for this booster shots forever thing. Having a one-and-done "good enough" vaccine that provides the basics in protection isn't what policy and implementation is advancing here. They want everyone to get used to taking the mRNA Wu shot because this shit ain't ending anytime soon. They want society to tilt to covid windmills forever. Political survival and National Pride demands it.

Here's an article from the last SARS outbreak ...

Farce mask: it's safe for only 20 minutes

April 27, 2003

Retailers who cash in on community fears about SARS by exaggerating the health benefits of surgical masks could face fines of up to $110,000.
NSW Fair Trading Minister Reba Meagher yesterday warned that distributors and traders could be prosecuted if it was suggested the masks offered unrealistic levels of protection from the disease.
"I'm sure everyone would agree that it is un-Australian to profiteer from people's fears and anxieties," Ms Meagher said.

"There appears to be some debate about whether surgical masks are able to minimise the effects of SARS."
Ms Meagher said her department would investigate any complaints about false mask claims which concerned the public.

"Penalties can range from fines of up to $22,000 for an individual or $110,000 for a corporation," she said.
Health authorities have warned that surgical masks may not be an effective protection against the virus.
"Those masks are only effective so long as they are dry," said Professor Yvonne Cossart of the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of Sydney.

"As soon as they become saturated with the moisture in your breath they stop doing their job and pass on the droplets."
Professor Cossart said that could take as little as 15 or 20 minutes, after which the mask would need to be changed. But those warnings haven't stopped people snapping up the masks, with retailers reporting they are having trouble keeping up with demand.

John Bell from the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, who owns a pharmacy in Woollahra, Sydney, said mask supplies were running low.
"At the moment we don't have any because we haven't been able to get any in the last few days," MrBell said. "In the early stages it was unbelievable; we'd get people coming in all the time."
Mr Bell agreed with Professor Cossart's assessment regarding the effectiveness of the masks.

"I think they're of marginal benefit," he said. "In a way they give some comfort to people who think they're doing as much as they can do to prevent the infection."
That seems to be the mentality of travellers to Asian destinations, who are buying and wearing the masks while overseas.

Rosemary Taylor, of Kirribilli, arrived in Sydney from Shanghai last week after a two-week holiday in China. Ms Taylor and travelling companion Joan Switzer had worn the masks during the trip home, even though they had been warned they were of little value.
"We were told you need 16 layers on your mask for it to offer 95per cent protection," Ms Taylor said.

Austrailians under lockdown are not allowed to go out to stores. Their food is delivered to them.

get a vaccine
I'm sure someone has addressed this by now, you are both idiots.

This is at Howard Springs, you know the quarantine facility.

It used to be a mining camp, if you aren't too stupid, you would know that some of them look like what? Yeah, that's right, this!
With housing in strong demand in the Top End, the project envisioned an on-site village that not only offered a comfortable respite from daily construction work, but a place to call home.

Master planned and designed by AECOM to help attract and retain resource workers in the region, Manigurr-ma Village provides a high standard of accommodation. Its award-winning urban design includes tropical courtyard buildings, green space corridors, landscape zones and parks.

Of course they aren't allowed out. The olympic athletes used it before and after going to Japan, I didn't hear any complaints, I'm sure there were some though.

If you think the 'mining camp' is bad, check out the suburbs around it.

Are they pulling infected people out of their homes and taking them to that camp like people are saying on Twitter?

I'm told WA is its own country now just about with no compulsory vaxx, no masks, and complete freedom to go where you want. anyone want to confirm?
WA doesn't exist, so I guess they can do whatever the fuck they want!

Lol what the fuck, no. Can't tell if you're joking or not but I'll answer anyway - these people are coming to Australia from overseas. They need to test for Covid and do 2 weeks in quarantine facilities before they can re-enter the Australian public. There are these facilities in each state, if you land in the East coast (e.g., Sydney, Melbourne) you stay at a 4-star hotel, if you land in the Northern Territory you stay at an ex-mining camp. This is what Australia looks like, its not a concentration camp. Though, it does suck that you need to pay $2000+ for vegan food at a shack in the outback.

It's bullshit but not bullshit.

What is happening is that people are being allowed to do home quarantine BUT of course, they are not staying at home.

So when they get found out, they get their 'allowed to' rescinded, and they are sent to wherever ('wherever' being what dilettante said) it is that they would have been sent, to do the remainder of their quarantine.
