I unironically didn't know he was sick. RIP Norm and thanks setting up that final punchline.

Yeah, it sucks that he passed. Cancer is bad...its an infection that slowly spreads across and destroys the system. Sort of like detractors spreading across and trying to destroy my career and family. It all started back in 2007. I myself was a Former....Pro...Fighting Game Player...

Another example of how you can never win with Phil Burnell, no matter what option you take.

Delay your game to ensure it's playable and good quality when released? Fuck you, dood! Get your shit together, you're all so fuckin' stoopid ack ack ack.
Rush your game to meet release dates and it's low quality when released? Fuck you, dood! Get your shit together, you're all so fuckin' stoopid ack ack ack.

This is one of many reasons why nobody will ever like you unless they're Derichs, pigroach.

Don’t forget to retweet DSP guise! “Oh, here’s an interesting take on the gaming industry that I agree with!”

I always fantasize about this in my brain... I wish a game company would catch whiff on him disrespecting their game and calls Sony/Xbox to tell them to ban his PS5/Xbox serial code or whatever so he cannot purchase their games.

Along with if he tried to go out and get it in person they print out his photo and state not to sell to this guy.

Oh well.. a man can dream..

To me that sounds like cancelling, and on principle I say fuck cancel culture, that shit is killing free speech and the medium of comedy as we know it, and that pisses me the fuck off. Outside of my political sperging, though: you don't even particularly need to cancel Phil, he's been doing an amazing job of that himself lately. He's made himself a digital leper that only the brain damaged can tolerate. And even if you somehow made Phil unable to buy games ever again, he'd just find a different (lazier) way to hoover up wheelchair money. Most likely he'd slither along to pollute Twitch's Just Chatting section with his boomer rants.

Energy levels already getting low while still in the tutorial segment of Deathloop:

Oh, and ignore the $11 in tips. That has nothing to do with it, I'm sure.

-EDIT- He just died in the tutorial area and now he's getting angry about the game trying to teach him stuff, because he has to read some words. He said his initial impression of the game is that he doesn't like it.

Not liking the game so far:

Being salty about having to read tutorials:

Lolol! Well, XBox’s official twitter account did dunk on him on Twitter.

That’s probably them closest we will get to that scenario.

And to anyone curious: Phil is playing on potato difficulty, constantly misses obvious clues/actions and as soon as humanly possible switches from sneaking to powering through-mode.

Lots of “There’s too many enemies!” “This is bullshit dood!” And “How did they know I was there!”

Potential for a decent TIHYDP.

It's official, the amount of new members, viewers, and tips for what DSP just said is the GRAND OPENING of the HARDCORE GAMING SEASON IS staggering. Trolls BTFO. I literally can't keep up with his chat right now, he can hardly play the game responding to all the tips

Wait, are we not confusing it for the hardcore begging season? Because that's been perpetual.

I want to touch upon one of the more pathetic but perhaps overlooked aspects of DSP's current streams.

DSP obviously just started Deathloop. As he's progressing through the tutorial stage of the game, he is tasked with finding a 4-digit code to a door. DSP reaches the door (at this point he hasn't found the actual code as that required going further into the tutorial/beginning stage of the game and then doubling back) and randomly and awkwardly states that he was "told by someone" that if you put in an incorrect 4 digit code (0451) you unlock a rare achievement "easter egg trophy", but don't worry "it's not a spoiler!"

He didn't see this 0451 code in stream chat, no one commented it, it was clear someone had to have emailed and told him prior to the playthrough. In any case, what I am getting at is that DSP is no longer doing spoiler-free, blind playthroughs anymore, and he never will again. He is too afraid of looking stupid or 'wasting time' getting stuck in games that he's clearly justified spoiling games and looking up hints/guides. I think what initially started as DSP looking a few things up so he didn't appear to be a complete inept moron on stream as he couldn't navigate childrens games evolved to fully prepping playthroughs by looking up key hints/guides and relying on what I imagine a small group of the same spergs to spoon feed him advice for playthroughs. Recently, we've seen him refer to guides/email hints in his Fallout playthrough, his Nier: Replicant playthrough, and other games. Mr. 13-year begacy, game-lover is not playing the games himself anymore and it's pathetic. This fact is what has also contributed to his actual stream becoming infinitely more boring the past few years, as the salt and general buffoonery that occurred as DSP's gin-addled pea brain couldn't progress through simple challenges is less frequent with guides and gameplay preparation.

Anyways, if you're interested here is the clip of DSP ACKnowledging inputting the 0451 code to get the rare achievement (1%). Of course, this achievement doesn't have an effect on gameplay, but the fact that he coudln't ignore the achievement, clearly had it on his mind during the tutorial, and nervously stated "Not a spoiler" is all I need to see and hear to know DSP is getting spoiled on other elements of the game.

edit: to be clear, there are way more obvious and impactful examples of handholding, guide reading, and spoiling out there. This example was just amusing to me because the achievement is so specific and non-consequential.
