The problem with that is those are mutually beneficial interests. Who really cares why the average john wants his hookers located in safer neighborhoods, healthier because they can afford (and obtain) good healthcare, not under the thumb of some leeching asshole and not operating under threat of arrest? Those are all things that benefit workers and clients. Weed out the obvious sex pests like Greer, of course, but turning away good-faith help because the offer comes from someone who can count to 21 when naked and cares about himself in addition to the people he's offering help to is just cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Hookers are very experienced with 'male feminists' and have learned that they should disassociate with interest groups made up of clients. Even the 'average john' is not someone hookers want in any way representing their interests. Even if it were, weeding out the 'sex pests' is an effort not worth making because there's so many of them. Russ is not the first person to come up with this con.

If you, Russ, or anyone else wants to set up a PAC\advocacy organization for Johns, that's not the problem. The problem is that men want to do it from the auspices of 'sex worker safety' when really they just want to make it easier to get their dick sucked. And 'coordinate' closely with sex workers while doing it.

(edit: also, there is an inherent conflict of interest between clients and providers because each would prefer have a different power differential. Anonymity, regulation, method of 'solicitation'- all of these things look very different from each side of the transaction. While legalization and normalization would help reduce some of these conflicts, even in a legal sector customers and service providers will always have unaligned interests)
